Ships at the Entrance

Around the main entrance of the VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park, large and tall ships impress visitors at the first sight. They are there to remind us of the ‘golden era’ of Hoi An when it’s one of the most wealthy trading ports in Asia. Trading ships from Europe, China, and Japan came to the town, to buy local products and exchange the culture. Don’t forget to take some good pictures with these ships!

The Harbor Corner

After entering the park, visitors will immediately see a river flowing between 2 quarters: one with Vietnamese/Hoi An style, and one with European style. This design aims to honour strong economic and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and the world, east and west that Hoi An is a proof.

The river divides VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park into two main sections. On the same side with the Vietnamese quarter, there are the water park, the safari park, and the bird park. On the same side with the European quarter, there are the amusement park and indoor playgrounds.

On the river, there is the Island of Folk Cultures where visitors can see the houses of Vietnamese people in the north, central and south regions as well as hill tribes. Their culture is also introduced.

The Water World

The ‘Water World’ is the water park of VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park. From the main entrance, visitors just need to look to the left to see it. Its opening hours are from 10 AM to 4:30 PM.

This water park has a lazy river, a wave pool, a kid’s aqua playground (pool with kid’s slides), and 8 slides (tornado slide, family raft slide, middle bowl slide, giant boomerang, family combination slide, six-lane rainbow slide, aqualoop slide, dragon slide). Slides require players whose height is 1,4m and above (sometimes, kids must go with parents/adults). Please see details on the regulation board at each place.

Lockers are available from 10 AM to 6 PM, at the house close to the cafeteria and beverage stores. For valuable belongings (watch, jewelry, money,…), visitors need to leave them in the reception, and pay 30,000 VND/time. For other belongings, it’s needed to leave a deposit at the reception (100,000 VND/locker), get one key there, and then walk inside to find the right locker. Here, visitors can rent slippers or towels, with a price of 30,000 VND and 50,000 VND respectively. In the case of a towel, it’s needed to leave a deposit of 200,000 VND/towel (and must return it later for a refund).

Those who don’t play at the water park or like relaxing (grandparents, uncles, aunts, ect), there are some cafeterias and beverages to have a seat and chill out.

The River Safari

The ‘River Safari’ of VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park is the first and only semi-wild safari in Da Nang-Hoi An area. It opens from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

This area is home to animals and other lives coming from all continents. It’s possible to see the elephant, tiger, giraffe, antelope, hippopotamus, camels, kangaroos, gibbons, monkeys, and lots of waterfowls. Interestingly, some of them disappeared in the wild.

To go around and watch the animals, visitors will need a boat trip by canoe (included in the entry ticket). It lasts 25-30 minutes, boarding from the boat station that is at the end of the Vietnamese quarter. A Vietnamese/English speaking local guide is always arranged on each trip, to tell passengers information and fun facts about every animal. This mini adventure is good to learn about other lives on our planet, and suitable for both adults and children. Families and groups of friends are prioritized to go together in one boat.

The boat will stop at the elephant island, for a couple of minutes. Here, visitors can see up-close, take pictures, and feed the largest land animal of the world. The price for sugarcane and fruits is around 50,000 VND/pack.

In the morning, the boat station is busy, therefore visitors often have to wait in a long queue for the turn. To skip the lines and enjoy a private journey, please pay 2,500,000 VND total and make a reservation at least 1 hour before (15 people are maximum).

The Adventure Land

The ‘Adventure Land’ is the amusement park of VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park, just behind the European quarters. It opens from 9:30 AM to 7 PM, so if would like to visit the park after 3 PM, visitors still have lots of time to play.

This area has 20 entertaining games, including ‘Swiss tower’ (the tallest drop tower in Vietnam, with a height of 85 meters), and exciting rolls and rides. All are included in the entry ticket. Every game requires a specific height for players, and small kids must go with parents/adults in many cases (for safety reasons). Here, the musical fountain show occurs from 7 to 7:30 PM.

Island of Folk Cultures

The ‘Island of Folk Cultures’ is in the back of VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park. It’s surrounded by the river, and connected with ‘River Safari’ and ‘Adventure Land’ by bridges. Here, visitors will see spaces showcasing all cultural regions of Vietnam as well as handicraft workshops, restaurants, shops, and cafes. This part is suitable for those who are interested in authentic local cultures inside Vietnam and peacefulness.

The visiting itinerary should be started from the Vietnamese communal house (a village’s entrance gate here). After that, ‘Northern Vietnamese space’, ‘Central Vietnamese space’, and ‘Southern Vietnamese spaces’ are next places. In the ‘Nothern Vietnamese space’, typical features are shown up, such as rice paddy fields, traditional tile roof houses, well, bamboo trees, banana trees, and other fruits. Here, visitors can see handicraft souvenirs, and pay for classes to have hands-on experiences and knowledge for making a mask, a woodblock painting, or something else. Hue and Hoi An represent central Vietnam. It’s easy to realize their long-standing cultural heritages, such as incense sticks making, tailoring, wood carving, foldable lantern making, paper flower making, rural houses, fruit gardens,…

In ‘Southern Vietnamese space’, visitors will see a traditional style house in this region of Vietnam (Mekong delta) that is made of wood, spacious, and surrounded by gardens (with lotus, fruit trees). The kiln to produce bricks is not far away, showing one of the most important industries of that region. Pottery making experience is available here to do.

Keep walking, visitors can find typical things about the culture of hill tribes living in central and northern mountains of Vietnam. The tallest building is ‘nha rong’, a communal house built of wood and thatch. It’s always on an extensive open yard where people play gongs in ceremonies. The house on the hill is to represent the living space of hill tribes around northern mountains. Visitors will see their traditional hand-weaving costumes.

At the Performing Stage, the show ‘Sailing Home’ is available to watch on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Its time is 10:30 AM, and 6:15 PM. On other days of the week, featured intangible cultural heritages in Vietnam are introduced, such as water puppetry, chau van singing (by Viet/Kinh people), then singing (by Tay, Nung & Thai people). Don’t miss if you like witnessing beautiful performances from skillful artists.

The tallest building in the Island of Folk Cultures is ‘Hill of Wishes’ which rises up to () meters from the ground. From its top, visitors can see the entire park, the ocean, beaches, villages, and sandy lands. It’s also a fantastic place to watch the sunset and the trading quarters below when colorful lights are turned on. Here, from 8 to 8:30 PM, the 3D Mapping show takes place. The best spots to see are along the river.

Indoor Playground

Near the Adventure Land, there is an indoor, air-conditioned playground where kids can find many games for free. Here, it’s possible to see beverage stores and souvenir shops.

VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park Ticket

VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park ticket price is 600,000 VND for adults & children above 1,4m, and 450,000 VND for children from 1m to 1,4m (2024). If buy the ticket after 3 PM, it’s 420,000 VND, and 320,000 VND respectively (2024). It’s free for children under 1m (must go with parents).

This entry ticket includes all games at the Water World, the Aventure Land, boat trip at the River Safari, the Indoor Playground, all cultural spaces & performances in the Island of Folk Culture, bird park, musical fountain show, 3D mapping show.

Exclusions are foods, drinks, transfer service, towel rental, locker, foods for animals, entry to golf course, hotel rooms at Vinpearl Nam Hoi An resort, and whatever not mentioned in the inclusions.

During the year, sometimes VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park ticket includes food, so visitors should double check when buying.

Food & Restaurants at VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park

Visitors can see both buffet and a la carte restaurants in VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park. Buffet restaurants are inside the big ships near the main entrance. They open from 11 AM to 3 PM daily. The price is 300,000 VND for adults & children above 1,4m, and 150,000 VND for children from 1 to 1,4m (2024). It’s free for kids below 1m (must go with parents).

If the combo of entry ticket and lunch buffet is available, visitors should compare it with paying them separately. Choose the cheaper one to save!

Inside the Island of Folk Culture (in the back of the park), there is a Vietnamese restaurant where visitors can see national and local dishes on the menu. At lunchtime, it’s busy, therefore it’s needed to wait for a while.

Cold drinks, juices, and ice creams are sold along the main roads of VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park.

If go from Da Nang city, visitors should eat in Hoi An once head to the park. An Bang Beach is a good place to stop on the way.

VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park is located in Binh Minh commune, Thang Binh district, Quang Nam. It’s 20km away from the Hoi An city centre (Hoi An Old Town, to the southeast), and 50km away from Da Nang city & international airport.

To get to VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park from Hoi An, visitors can use personal vehicles (motorbike), car/taxi, or shuttle bus arranged by the park. The quickest way is traveling by a taxi/private car (about 30 mins) and the price is from 200,000 to 350,000 VND (one way). The cheapest way is getting the shuttle bus. It picks up at Vinpearl Hoi An Resort (9 AM), An Bang Beach and Hoi An Centre (Hai Ba Trung St) before going to the park. It’s free. From Da Nang to Hoi An, visitors can ride the motorbike, take a taxi, book a private car, or use the shuttle bus arranged by the park.
