The Square Du Dome (now Union Square) is considered as the centre of Ba Na Hills which lies on the top of the mountain. It’s surrounded by Saint Denis Church (a Gothic church with a grand architecture inspired by a famous church in France, with beautiful stained glass paintings, no service/mass), the French Village (a complex of tall antique European style buildings comprising of hotels, shophouses, cafes, restaurants, stone-paved paths, grand cascade, carousels, food courts, brewery), L’Indochine Station (the upper station of the cable car from Thac Toc Tien Station that was ever longest in the world, named after name of Vietnam in colonial period), Morin Station (the upper station of the cable car from Debay Station that is short and old, named after a French man who built the first hotel in Ba Na Hills), the Fantasy Park (Vietnam’s largest amusement park with many rides, games, wax museum, jurassic park, and other entertainments), the Solar Castle, and restaurants. Its name originates from the dome at its heart (actually the top of the drop tower in the Fantasy Park).
Throughout the day, the Square Du Dome (now Union Square) is the hosting place of exciting outdoor shows and performances. These activities are free to watch and available between 10 am and 3 pm everyday. On rainy days, smaller shows will be arranged across the park, at the church, brewery, Lunar Castle, Eclipse Plaza, flower gardens etc. See more information & details
Around the Square Du Dome (now Union Square), there are many a la carte restaurants and stalls (selling fast foods, cold beverages, juices, ice cream, etc). Visitors can have good food or drink, and then have a seat and watch great performances on the nearby square. Near the Solar Castle and the entrance of alpine coasters, authentic Thai dishes are served, such as pad thai, papaya salad, pineapple fried rice, tom yum, etc. In the opposite, Kavkaz Baku restaurant has a menu full of lamb dishes and barbecues, prepared by Russian chiefs. Near the church, below the wind mills, there are small café catering Vietnamese and western style coffees, teas, juices, smoothies, etc. The price begins from 50,000 VND. Near the cable car station, restaurants and cafés there serve fried chicken, coffee, buffet hot pot, Japanese sushi, more.
Near the church, shophouses sell plenty of souvenirs and gifts. Sure, the price is clearly shown and the quality is good to buy and bring home. Recently, a pop mart store opened in the Solar Castle (on the other side of the square from the church), selling toys for children and young adults. This is only in the area.
At night, visitors will have the chance to watch a 3D mapping show in the Square Du Dome (now Union Square). This show occurs at 6:50 pm and 7:50 pm daily. It’s a thing not to miss in the park if visitors sightsee or stay back until the evening. See more information & details
Tips to Visit Square du Dome in Ba Na Hills
– No surcharge is required to visit Square du Dome in Ba Na Hills.
– In the dry season, from February to end of August, visitors should bring sun cream, sun glasses, hat/cap/umbrella, and bottles of water.
– In the rainy season, from September to January, visitors should bring rain poncho/jacket, umbrella, sandals or waterproof shoes. Remember to check the weather forecast before go.
– No dress code regulation is required in Square du Dome of Ba Na Hills.

How to Get to Square Du Dome (now Union Square) in Ba Na Hills
The Square Du Dome (now Union Square) (Quang Truong Nhat Thuc) is between the ‘Kingdom of Sun’ and the ‘Kingdom of Moon’, near Louvre Station in Ba Na Hills, An Son village, Hoa Ninh commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang Vietnam.
From Da Nang or Hoi An, visitors can take a car/minivan/bus or ride the motorbike. If going by car, the drive is 40-60 mins from Da Nang city centre and over 1 hour from Hoi An. To save a bit, riding a motorbike is a good option. The best route from Da Nang is Ba Na – Suoi Mo Road and from Hoi An, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Road is the quickest route.
In Ba Na Hills, the quickest cable car to the Square Du Dome (now Union Square) is from the Hoi An Station. The ride from here is 15-20 minutes. Visitors will land at Marseille Station near Golden Hands Bridge and then to go to the Square Du Dome (now Union Square), it’s needed to walk upstairs to Bordeaux Station to take the cable car from there. This cable car will land at Louvre Station and then get the escalator or go downstairs to see the square.
If take the cable car from Thac Toc Tien Station or Champa Station, visitors will land at the French Village. From here, find the shortest/quickest way to the Louvre Station and then get the escalator or go downstairs to see the square.
From the French Village, another way to the Square Du Dome (now Union Square) is taking the funicular ride from Mystery Well Station (inside Arapang Restaurant building). After 10-15 minutes, visitors will arrive at Dragon Den Station inside the Lunar/Moon Castle. From here, go upstairs by elevator or staircase and then walk outside, following the main path to see the square.
Sometimes visitors will go up to Ba Na Hills by the cable car from Suoi Mo Station. After landing, it’s needed to come to nearby D’Amour Station to take the funicular ride to reach the hilltop. This mountain train ride is not long. When it finishes, go outside and follow the path on the left side, to the Golden Bridge. From here, go upstairs by escalator or staircase to Bordeaux Station to take the cable car from there. This cable car will land at Louvre Station and then get the escalator or go downstairs to see the square.
