Linh Phong Thien Tu Pagoda on Map
History & Architecture of Linh Phong Thien Tu Pagoda (Ba Na Hills)
Linh Phong Thien Tu Pagoda is hidden away in the forests on the top of Nui Chua Mountain (King Peak). It’s constructed in 2006, on a hilltop that is lower than the goddess temple. Because it has a northern Vietnam architecture, therefore it’s known as ‘north pagoda’.
Linh Phong Thien Tu Pagoda has one main hall to worship Lord Buddha, an entrance gate, west and east corridors housing the statue of 18 arhats (the one has gained insight into the true nature of existence and has achieved nirvana and liberated from the endless cycle of rebirth). All of them are built of ironwood. Total area is 650 m2.
In the back of Linh Phong Thien Tu Pagoda, there is a small house in which two great Vietnamese people in the 20th century are worshipped. They are Ho Chi Minh (1890-1969), the president of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, and Vo Nguyen Giap (1911-2013), the general of the Vietnam People’s Army. In the front of the temple, it’s possible to see a big bronze drum, a symbolic and sacred object to the Dong Son culture in northern Vietnam.
To the left of the back worshipping house, it’s the private meditation hall for monks. Visitors can not enter this place.
The views from Linh Phong Thien Tu Pagoda are awe-inspiring, with no man-made buildings. Due to its secret location, it’s very tranquil here, a perfect place for those who want to escape from hustle and bustle around the park.

Linh Chua Linh Tu Temple is a Buddhist temple and a holy place, so all visitors should wear respectfully. It’s needed to use a shirt covering the armpits, shoulder and navel, and a pants covering the upper knees. For example, tank top, crop top, and shorts are not appropriate. Making sure that nowhere is see-through. Vietnamese traditional costume – Ao dai (the long dress) is highly recommended by local authorities.
When entering the worshipping room, it’s needed to take shoes off (wearing shocks is okay), remove hat, rain poncho and sunglasses (for the umbrella, don’t bring inside!).
If it’s hot and humid, visitors can prepare a scarf or sarong to cover while being around holy places. It’s okay to not wear it during the hike. Sometimes, the temple gives visitors a long piece of fabric to cover if they want to go in the worshipping room, but sometimes not available. Bring your own!
