Levels of Fantasy Park & Their Main Theme

The Fantasy Park in Ba Na Hills has 3 levels: B1, B2, and B3. The highest level is B1, and the lowest level is B3. Its total area is up to 21,000 m2 and accommodates more than 1,000 visitors, making it the largest indoor amusement park in Vietnam. To go from one level to the other one, visitors can use escalators or elevators. Theme of three levels is based on two famous novels: ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’ and ‘Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas’ that were composed by Jules Verne in 1864 and 1870 respectively. He is a French novelist, poet, and playwright, who lived from 1828 to 1905. Above literature works are two of three bestselling adventure novels in his life (the last one is ‘Around the World in Eighty Days’).

‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’ is about a German scientist who believes the volcanic tubes can reach the center of the earth, and two other explorers, his nephew and an Icelandic guy. They discover different volcanoes, and contend with many dangers, including prehistoric creatures.

‘Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas’ is about an expedition by submarine, and led by a French marine biologist, to find and destroy the monsters in the deep sea. The author described the submarine that is close to what we are using today.

There are more than 100 entertaining games & rides in Fantasy Park. Nearly all of them are included in the Ba Na Hills entry ticket. This place is great for kids and adrenaline seekers.

Things to See & Do in Fantasy Park in Ba Na Hills

Best Rides at Fantasy Park

Inside the Fantasy Park, the coolest ride is at the drop tower (the queue is in the Level B3, lowest level). Riders will be carried high up to 29 meters, and then fall freely, making them feel nervous, surprised, and //. This is the second tallest drop tower in Vietnam (shorter than 85-meters-tall ‘Swiss Tower’ in the VinWonders Nam Hoi An Theme Park). Here, 16 visitors play together in each ride, and before having a seat, it’s needed to take off bags and put them in nearby lockers. It takes riders 2 minutes, and kids from 1,3m to 1,4m must go with parents. Everyday, visitors can come between 8:30 am and 7 pm. It’s free of charge (included by Ba Na Hills entry ticket). Those who don’t play and wait, can sit in a nearby beverage store.

The next ride in the Fantasy Park is at outdoor alpine coasters (self driven roller coaster). The Alpine Coaster 1 is near the park’s main entrance, and the Alpine Coaster 2 is near the Thai Market Restautant. Opening hours are from 8:30 am to 6-7 pm, except when it’s misty or rainy or under maintenance. This ride is 5-7 minutes, requiring riders whose height is from 1,3m and a fee of 70,000 VND/person. If the kid is from 1,3 to 1,5m, he/she must go with parents. To start this ride, visitors will sit in a car (2 persons share one car), and then slide from a height of 57 meters. Those who sit behind can use the handbrake lever to reduce the speed, and to not hit the other car in the front. The rail isn’t straight, it has many loops and slopes, making riders keep feeling excited. To end the ride, the car automatically moves upwards and returns to the station. Cameras will photograph visitors along the rail, and to print the best picture (to be a souvenir), the fee is 80,000 VND/photo/time. The ending point of the Alpine Coaster 1 is the same as the starting point. See more information & details

Additionally, visitors will see small carnival rides on all three levels of the amusement park, mostly for kids.

Wax Statue Museum

The Wax Museum of Ba Na Hills is on Level B1 in the Fantasy Park. It opened to visitors on 11st July 2013, and became the first wax statue museum in Vietnam. Now, this has more than 50 real-size statues created by skillful Italian artists, portraying many famous persons all over the world. Visitors can see singers (Lady Gaga, Psy, Micheal Jackson,…), actors and actresses (Marilyn Monroe, ), sport players (David Beckham, Christino Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Tiger Wood, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant,…), politicians (Barack Obama, Nelson Mandela, Putin,…), dancers,… See more information & details

Visitors need to pay to visit Ba Na Hills’s Wax Museum. The price is 100,000 VND for adults and children above 1,3m, and is free for small kids.

The Jurassic Park

On the Level B1 of the Fantasy Park, Jurassic Park is one of favourite places to go for kids. Here, they can see statues of different dinosaurs which live on the ground and in the sky, in an old-growth jungle with exotic prehistoric plants. Some information about them are shown on nearby boards. The music and the sound of animals make the ‘park’ alive and bring visitors back to hundreds of millions of years ago. The opening hours are from 8:30 am to 7 pm, without any extra fees. See more information & details

Other Games & Activities

On the Level B1, except the Jurassic Park and Wax Museum, visitors can ride bumper cars (2 persons/car, available from 8:30 am to 7 pm, 4-5 mins long, free), and other amusement rides, such as carousels, kamikaze, swing around,… Performances are available here when it’s rainy outdoors.

On the Level B2, visitors can have a ride into the centre of the earth & use a gun to destroy monsters (2 persons/car, riders must be above 1m, available from 8:30 am to 7pm, 2-3 mins long, free), ‘5D movie’ (visitors wear glasses, sit on a horse seat, have a gun, and shoot thieves), ‘4D movie’ (visitors will sit on a moveable seat, wear glasses, and join a race that across deserts), ‘fairy forest’ (for kids from 1,1 to 1,5m, available from 8:39 am to 7 pm, free), ‘baby explorer’ (for kids under 1,1m or 5 years old, available from 8:30 am to 9 pm, free, unlimited number of players), ‘young explorer’ (for kids from 1,1m to 1,5m, or 6 to 11 years old, available from 8:30 am to 9 pm, free, unlimited number of players).

How to Get to Fantasy Park in Ba Na Hills

The Fantasy Park is in Sun World Ba Na Hills, on the top of a mountain. To get there, it’s needed to ride the cable car, after coming to the park.

The quickest cable car to the Fantasy Park is the one boarding at Thac Toc Tien station, and landing at L’Indochine station. After 15-17 mins traveling by cable car, visitors will need to go outside and find the staircase leading down to the main entrance of the park, to the left hand side. Ask any staff there to find the right directions faster.

If getting to Fantasy Park by the cable car between the Bordeaux station and the Louvre station. After leaving the car, visitors need to go outside and then find elevators or stairs near the golden globe ‘sun world’ to see the theme park’s main entrance. The elevators are near the Thai Market restaurant.

If reaching the mountain by the cable car from Champa station, visitors will land at Taiga station. From here, it’s needed to walk through the French Village to see the golden globe ‘sun world’ (near the church), and then find the staircase leading down to the theme park’s main entrance.

To go to the park (Ba Na Hills) from Da Nang, visitors can take a ride by car/taxi/van/bus or drive the motorbike (not recommended for those who have luggage). For a better price, we advise booking a roundtrip transfer to Ba Na Hills, instead of one way. The price is from 700,000 VND, and the driver can wait for some hours. The best route for riding the motorbike is Ba Na – Suoi Mo road, a wide and low traffic road. From the hotel, visitors just need to find the shortest/quickest way to see it and then follow it until the security man at Ba Na Hills tells them to stop. Parking here is free.

From Hoi An, the best ways to reach Ba Na Hills (including the French Village) is by car and motorbike. A drive by car is about 1 hour long, costing from 1,000,000 VND for a roundtrip. Driving the motorbike isn’t too difficult but it takes a bit to find the right directions on the way. Firstly, visitors need to follow the coastal road Lac Long Quan St until see Nam Ky Khoi Nghia St (in Da Nang), and then turn left, follow that road until can’t go anymore (due to construction). After that, follow QL1A highway and then Ba Na Suoi Mo road to the end.
