Lady Buddha/Linh Ung Pagoda
On the south coast of Son Tra Peninsula, Linh Ung Pagoda is the largest Buddhist temple in Da Nang city. It is most famous for its stunning 67-meter-tall statue of the Lady Buddha or Goddess of Mercy, which faces the sea and is a distinctive landmark visible from afar. The pagoda offers tranquil grounds, intricate traditional architecture, and panoramic views, making it a significant spiritual and tourist destination. See more information & details
The view from Lady Buddha/Linh Ung Pagoda which sit atop a 100-meter-high hill, is breath-taking. In the front, visitors will see blue sea, fishing boats, rocky points, islands of Cham Islands, the the prettiest coastline of Da Nang with numerous tall building and mountains behind, the Marble Mountains,…. This spot is ideal to watch the sunset.

Ban Co Peak (Chessboard Peak)
Ban Co Peak, one of the highest points in Son Tra Peninsula (Monkey Mountain), definitely is among the best viewpoints in Da Nang area. From an elevation of nearly 700m, visitors will catch a sweeping 360ºC view to the peninsula itself, forests in Son Tra Nature Reserve, the sea (East Vietnam Sea), the city, the coasts with sandy beaches and fishing villages, Cham Islands, Marble Mountains, and further, mountains in Hai Van Pass Range. The best time of the year to reach Ban Co Peak and see the view, is between March and September (the dry season). Visitors can come here in the morning or around sunset. After the sun goes down, the city is illuminated by millions of lights, creating a sparkling and picturesque landscape of high-rise buildings, bridges (like the Han River bridges), and the coastline curving into the dark sea.
To reach Ban Co Peak, visitors can take a car, ride the motorbike (only manual transmission bike allowed to drive up), or hike. There are three hiking trails to this summit: the trail from Yet Kieu Road, the trail from Intercontinental resort (Hoang Sa Road), and the trail from Tien Sa Beach. Green Lake (Ho Xanh)
The Green Lake or Ho Xanh is the nearest viewpoint in Son Tra Peninsula that visitors can reach. Here, it’s possible to see Da Nang city (beachfront), the sea, fishing boats, and forests. To catch the view, visitors have to go to a camping site called ‘Doi Chay’ (burning hill). On the way to Lady Buddha and Linh Ung Pagoda (Hoang Sa Road), it’s easy to find the trail to this spot (on left hand).
