The best time of the year to visit Khem Beach in Phu Quoc is the dry season, particularly from November to April. During this period, it’s sunny throughout the day, and the beach itself looks like a little paradise (crystal-clear and warm water, dry sand, lush trees, small waves, blue sky). That’s perfect for going swimming, sun bathing, getting tanned, and taking part in water sports/activities. In addition, the weather is also great for going fishing in the sea, providing extremely fresh seafood which visitors are willing to try in Phu Quoc. Khem Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Phu Quoc Vietnam. It boasts a wide, crescent, and 3,5-kilometers-long stretch of white fine sand, lying between coconut trees and turquoise blue water. At its ends, there are hills (or capes) covered by dense tropical forests.
During days with good weather, visitors can participate these activities at Khem Beach Phu Quoc:
– sightsee and take photos: natural scenery at Khem Beach is heaven-like, including crystal-clear water, green forests, blue sky, white sand, and the view to mountains and offshore islands. It’s absolutely one of iconic beaches on Phu Quoc Island. The best time to photograph is the morning (before 8 am) and afternoon (just before sunset) when lighting is soft and warm. How to Get to Khem Beach Phu Quoc
Khem Beach is located near the southeastern tip of Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam. It’s a 3,5-kilometers-long beach, including 1 public swimming area at the end of the boulevard running from DT46 (about 500 meters) and private areas at hotels and resorts. These private areas open to the guests and those who buy a day pass.
Currently, there is a free shuttle bus picking up visitors at places within ‘Sun Group ecosystem’. Available from 9:00 am to 9:30 pm, this bus starts from Hon Thom cable car station (Anh Duong station), and then Vui Fest Bazaar within Sunset Town, New World Phu Quoc Resort, Khem Beach in turn. The distance to Sunset Town, An Thoi Town, and Sao Beach area is from 2 to 5 kilometers. Visitors can take a taxi, private car/bus, or ride the motorbike. We recommend booking a roundtrip transfer to have return drive from the beach (because of no taxi service). If want to ride the motorbike, find the shortest route to the crossroad on DT46 (Google maps: 10°02’08.3″N 104°01’03.4″E). After that, turn into the boulevard with gate building topped by four black dogs and go straight until the end. Parking is free.
The distance to Khem Beach from Duong Dong is nearly 35 kilometers. Visitors can take a taxi, private car/bus, or ride the motorbike. If want to go by motorbike, ride along 30 Thang 4 Road until Ham Ninh roundabout (Google map: 10°10’29.3″N 104°01’03.9″E), and then turn right to enter DT46 Road or Nguyen Van Cu Road. Go straight until see the crossroad on DT46 (Google maps: 10°02’08.3″N 104°01’03.4″E). After that, turn into the boulevard with gate building topped by four black dogs and go straight until the end. Parking is free.
The distance to Khem Beach from Phu Quoc International Airport (PQC) is nearly 35 kilometers. If stay overnight in a hotel/resort by Khem Beach, visitors can take a taxi or book a private transfer in advance.
Additionally, visitors can reach Khem Beach Phu Quoc by boat from Sao Beach or An Thoi Port or resorts by Khem Beach.
