In the evening, going on a boat ride on the river to release the lanterns is a must do activity in Hoi An Old Town today. It’s available from the sunset to around 9:30 pm. Visitors need to buy a ticket costing 170,000 VND (group of 1 to 3 persons) and 220,000 VND (group of 4 to 6 persons) at the booths along the banks of Hoai River, particularly along Bach Dang Street or Nguyen Phuc Chu Street.
