Weather at Golden Hands Bridge in December
December is a month in the rainy season in Da Nang Vietnam (the season starts from October and ends at February annually). This is one of the wettest and the coldest months of the year due to heavy rains, cold fronts and typhoons. For that reason, we advise you to check the weather forecast carefully in advance to have the best day. See more more information
At an elevation of 1,414 meters, the weather at Golden Hands Bridge in December is often cloudy/foggy, rainy and windy. Remember to bring rain poncho/jacket or umbrella, waterproof footwears, and easy-dry clothes. The temperature is also low in many days (lowest around 10ºC) and in reality, visitors will feel colder due to the rain. For those coming from tropical countries and children, wearing a winter jacket is necessary to keep warm if coming to Golden Bridge in December. In the cable car station by the bridge (Marseille station), it’s possible to find heater fan to dry up, coffee stalls to buy hot drinks, or extra clothes to get on.
On the deck of the Golden Bridge, it’s wet and slippery, therefore visitors need to walk slowly and carefully. In windy times, strolling along this bridge with umbrella is not working because it can be broken against the strong wind. Therefore, bringing a rain poncho would be better.
In December, it’s highly potential to see the typhoon in the area. Days before its landfall, the wind can be very strong and the rain can be heavy. This weather sounds not good to visit Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills. Additionally, because of thunder or lightning, the cable car to the bridge can be shut down for safety reason. Those stayed in the mountain often have to wait for a long time (sometimes up to some hours) for the cable car going down through. After the landfall of a typhoon, it may be clear and even sunny. Therefore, visitors should check the weather forecast again to have one of the best days of whole rainy season to visit the bridge.

Is Golden Hands Bridge Worth Visiting in December?
In December, Golden Hands Bridge is still worth visiting if travelers check the weather forecast carefully in advance (to avoid bad weather). In the first half of this month, it’s less foggy and rainy than the second half (when Christmas and New year take place). When the day is closer, search the weather at the bridge on Google and then choose the hour(s) with the smallest chance of rain or the lowest rainfall to visit. For example, if the best time of the day is at 1 pm, let’s leave the city at 11:30 am and then take the cable car at the Hoi An Station. After walking through it and take many pictures, explore the rest of Ba Na Hills (an amusement park). It’s easy to find a place to eat around the park. If just in the planning stage, see our top 11 reasons why Golden Hands Bridge is worth visiting. One of the reasons is that this bridge is well known across the world right now (thanks to its two surreal and gigantic stone-like hands).

How to Avoid Crowds at Golden Hands Bridge in December
During December, it’s very crowded at Ba Na Hills. So, if do not want to see too many people or long queues, visitors should go in the early morning or late afternoon-evening. The park and the cable car open at 8:00 am, so it’s needed to start the trip at 6:45-7:00 am in Da Nang and 6:15-6:30 am in Hoi An. If going from Hue city, please try to visit Ba Na Hills in the afternoon. Private transport is a must to save time (actually not expensive to book) and tickets should be reserved in advance to cut the queue at ticket offices. Going with a local guide is a smart choice because he/she knows the park well, and can tailor the itinerary that is just for you. See more information & details
