Complex of Hue Monuments is the first world heritage site in Vietnam (inscribed by UNESCO in 1993). It’s a collection of the best preserved imperial buildings constructed by Nguyen kings from 1802 to 1945, including the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple City.
