– The Marble Mountains: 20 km away from the Da Nang Cruise Port, this is a complex of 5 marble hills rising spectacularly from the ground. It’s also known as ‘Five-elements Mountain’ in Vietnamese. The largest and tallest mountain is the Water Mountain on which visitors can see old Buddhist temples, explore majestic caves, and climb to peaks with a panoramic view. – Hue Imperial Citadel: 100 km away from the Da Nang Cruise Port, this is the seat of power of Nguyen emperors from 1802 to 1945 when the city Hue played its role as the capital of Vietnam. The most important buildings lie within two protected walls called ‘Imperial City’ and ‘Forbidden Purple City’. – Cham Islands: This archipelago has 8 islands, and is a national marine park, a Unesco world biosphere reserve. – Lap An Lagoon: 45 km from Da Nang Cruise Port, at the foot of Hai Van Pass and on the way to Hue city, this is a beautiful, blue and clear lagoon. – Giant Lady Buddha Statue: 10 km away from Da Nang Cruise Port, within Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda, this is a 67-meters-tall statue, making it one of the tallest standing Buddhas in Vietnam. From many places in the area, visitors still can see it. In Vietnamese culture, Lady Buddha is also known as Goddess of Mercy, Goddess of Sea or the Mother Buddha.
