Best & Worst Times to Snorkel Cham Island
Best time of the year: March to August
The dry season offers peak conditions. From March to May, you’ll enjoy pleasant temperatures and calm seas. However, June to August is the absolute best for snorkeling; the water is clearest, with visibility reaching 25 meters, allowing you to fully appreciate the vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life.
Worst time of the year: October to February
This period marks the monsoon season and is the worst for snorkeling. Frequent storms, heavy rain, and rough swells make the water murky and dangerous. During these months, boat services from the mainland are often suspended entirely, and the marine park may close to visitors for safety reasons.
