How to Get to Bai Bac (North Beach) on Cham Islands
Bai Bac (North Beach) is on the largest island of the Cham Islands – Hon Lao. It’s near the westernmost tip of this island. To reach it from the mainland Da Nang or Hoi An, visitors need to take a speed boat or ferry from Cua Dai Port. Read our guide How to Get to Cham Island for more information.
After reaching the island, from the wharf in Bai Lang – the main village of Cham Island, the distance to Bai Bac (North Beach) is around 3 kilometers. If staying overnight in the village, visitors can get there by riding the motorbike. Just going westwards and along the coastal road (the one looping the island), you will see Bai Bac (North Beach) on the left hand side.
From Bai Huong Village, another area to stay overnight on the island, it’s quite far to go to Bai Bac (North Beach). We recommend Bai Chong Beach and Bai Xep Beach due to shorter distance. Both of these beaches are accessible by walking and motorbike.
There is no speed boat going to Bai Bac (North Beach) at the moment. If hire a private wooden boat from local people, it’s possible.
If book a day tour from the mainland, you may not have time enough to sightsee Bai Bac (North Beach). Instead, Bai Ong Beach or Bai Chong Beach will be your stop.
