What to Expect in Chu Mom Ray National Park?
Chu Mom Ray National Park is the only national park in Kon Tum Vietnam. It’s established on 30th July 2002 by Vietnam’s government, and was recognized as ASEAN Heritage Park in 2004. It’s named after Chu Mom Ray peak (1,773 meters above the sea level), the highest point in the area. In Jrai people’s language, Chu Mom Ray means ‘mountain of embroidery’.
Currently, Chu Mom Ray National Park has an area of 56,600 hectares. To the west, it’s connected with Virachey National Park in Cambodia and a nature reserve in Laos. It’s home to 1,530 fauna and floral species, including 113 animals and 124 plants in the Red list.
The most famous place in Chu Mom Ray National Park is the Monkey Waterfall (Thac Khi in Vietnamese), the tallest fall in the park.

How to Get to Chu Mom Ray National Park
Chu Mom Ray National Park is Sa Thay district, Kon Tum province, Vietnam (now Kon Tum ward, Quang Ngai province). It’s around 40 kilometers from the city center, and nearly 100 kilometers from Mang Den.
From Kon Tum city, visitors can take a taxi/car, or ride the motorbike or book a tour to reach Chu Mom Ray National Park.
From Mang Den, the most popular to go to Chu Mom Ray National Park are taking a private car/bus. The drive will be around 2 hours.
