At the westernmost point of Son Tra Peninsula (Monkey Mountain), Tien Sa Beach is a nearly-private crescent beach. It’s well known for a 400-meters-long stretch of soft sand with forested mountains at its ends and blue water in the front. Here, visitors have a view to Hai Van Pass’s mountain range that is crowned by white clouds. On the southern coast of Son Tra Peninsula, not far from giant Lady Buddha statue, Bai Nam or the South Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Son Tra Peninsula, Da Nang Vietnam. It’s an unspoiled 600-meters-long stretch of fine sand with coconut forests and mountains in the back as well as blue sea, fishing boats and the city in the front. Not only swimming, this is a perfect place to watch sunset.
To go to Bai Nam (South Beach), visitors can take a taxi, private car/van/bus, or ride the motorbike.
Visitors will pay a small fee to visit Bai Nam (South Beach) in the dry season. Fresh water is available to take a shower after swimming in the sea, but restaurants, bars, shops, cafes,…are not seen.

Nestled in a nature reserve, Bai Bac or the North Beach is one of the best beaches in Da Nang Vietnam. It’s famous for a stretch of nearly-600-meters-long white and soft sand with a turquoise bay in the front and forested mountains on the other sides. Here, under lush coconut trees, there are a bar with long swimming pool, a couple of restaurants serving up great foods and lots of sun loungers to lie down and chill then.
To go to Bai Bac (the North Beach), visitors can take a taxi, private car or ride the motorbike. From the city of Da Nang, go along Hoang Sa Road until its end (pass by a massive Lady Buddha). This coastal road has wonderful viewpoints to the sea, beaches, the city and sunset/sunrise.

Bai But (Buddha Beach)

Between the city of Da Nang and Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda, Bai But or the Buddha Beach is a pristine 300-meters-long beach. This beach is not opened yet to the public because it lies within a resort construction project (it’s fenced). Its name originates from a local story in which fishermen found a statue of Lady Buddha statue here by mistake. After that, they have called it Bai But (meaning the Buddha Beach) and built a small temple to worship Lady Buddha (where they visit to pray for safety in the sea). Today, the 3rd Linh Ung Pagoda in Da Nang is named Linh Ung Bai But Pagoda.
From the giant Lady Buddha which stands on the hilltop, visitors can see a part of Bai But Beach.

Bai Thut Beach

Close to the Lady Buddha, Bai Thut Beach is the longest beach in Son Tra Peninsula (700 meters). It boasts a peaceful strand which has clean and fine sand, lying between trees and unpolluted water. In the front, visitors will see a view to Da Nang city. If want to go swimming here, let’s come in the dry season (from February to September). Going camping on Bai Thut Beach is also possible throughout the year. About snorkeling, the operator will arrange a canoe ride to reefs near Bai Rang and then give you a snorkel to explore the underwater life. To visit Bai Thut Beach, visitors need to go to Bien Dong Resort. From the city, find the quickest way to this point on Google maps 16°06’14.1″N 108°17’01.1″E, turn right and the beach is in the end. Currently, there is a coffee shop here.

Bai Rang Beach
