Best Way to Go from Phu Quoc Island to Ba Na Hills
Ba Na Hills is located in Da Nang city, the capital of central Vietnam. From the city center, the distance to Ba Na Hills is 25-30 kilometers. Golden Hands Bridge, one of the most well-known tourist bridges across the globe, lies within this theme park. Here, cable car lines are amongst the longest and the steepest ones worldwide. In the southwest region of Vietnam, in the Gulf of Thailand and near Cambodia border, Phu Quoc is the largest island of the country (nearly 590 km2). It’s connected with the mainland by ferry and flight. Millions of tourists come here yearly for striking beaches, heaven-like islands, great diving experience, extensive amusement parks, Hon Thom cable car (world’s longest cable car), and more.
Today, the best way to get from Phu Quoc to Ba Na Hills is taking a flight to Da Nang and then have a private transfer from Da Nang’s airport. In Phu Quoc, visitors need to go to the Phu Quoc International Airport (code: PQC). A direct flight from here to Da Nang will be 1 hour and 45 minutes long, and it’s operated by Vietnam Airlines or/and Vietjet Air (depending on the date). Sometimes, to fly from Phu Quoc to Da Nang, passengers need to transit in the airport at Ho Chi Minh city or Hanoi or even Bangkok in Thailand.
At the Phu Quoc International Airport, there is still one terminal for both domestic and international flights. The flight from Phu Quoc to Da Nang is inside Vietnam, so visitors need to be in this airport at least 2 hours before departure. From Duong Dong, the distance to it is around 10 kilometers, and from An Thoi or Sunset Town, the distance is 17-20 kilometers. If going by car/bus, it takes visitors 20 and 30 minutes respectively. Those who stay in the hotel in northern part of the island or remote hotels, the drive definitely will be longer. Additionally, there is a bus line to Phu Quoc Airport from popular tourist areas too to take as well. Check its information online to know better about timetable, pick up points and prices.
In Da Nang, flights from Phu Quoc Island will land at the Da Nang International Airport (code: DAD), particularly Terminal 1. From this terminal, visitors need 1-hour drive by car/bus to reach Ba Na Hills, depending on traffic and weather (the distance is about 25 kilometers).
