Ninh Binh to Ba Na Hills by Flight
Ba Na Hills is located in Da Nang city, the capital of central Vietnam. From the city center, the distance to Ba Na Hills is 25-30 kilometers. Golden Hands Bridge, one of the most well-known tourist bridges across the globe, lies within this theme park. Here, cable car lines are amongst the longest and the steepest ones worldwide. Down the south of Hanoi capital, yearly Ninh Binh attracts millions of tourists by its incredibly beautiful limestone mountains rising above the rice fields. Here, remains of the first capital city of Vietnam in the 10th century, are still seen. Especially Trang An and Tam Coc offers a stunning boat tour along small rivers surrounded by rocky hills, through underground caves and pass by old temples.
Today, the one of the fastest ways to get from Ninh Binh to Ba Na Hills is taking a flight from Hanoi’s airport to Da Nang and then have a private transfer from Da Nang’s airport. The closest airport from Ninh Binh is the Noi Bai International Airport (code: HAN). A direct flight from here to Da Nang will be 1 hour and 45 minutes long, and it’s operated by Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, Pacific Airlines, Vietravel Airlines.
At the Noi Bai International Airport, there are two terminals: Terminal 1 for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international flights. The flight from Hanoi to Da Nang is inside Vietnam, so visitors need to be in Terminal 1 at least 2 hours before departure. Its duration is around 1,5 hours. Online check in and E-boarding pass are accepted for domestic flights in Vietnam at the Noi Bai International Airport (24 hours to 1 hour before departure).
In Da Nang, flights from Phu Quoc Island will land at the Da Nang International Airport (code: DAD), particularly Terminal 1. From this terminal, visitors need 1-hour drive by car/bus to reach Ba Na Hills, depending on traffic and weather (the distance is about 25 kilometers). Ninh Binh to Ba Na Hills by Train
Visitors can take train from Ninh Binh to Da Nang city, and then have a private transfer to Ba Na Hills. Duration of the fastest train ride between these cities is 13-15 hours. We recommend buying tickets in an overnight train, in order to arrive Da Nang in the morning and then have time enough for visiting Ba Na Hills.
To buy tickets, please come to the train station of Ninh Binh or browse the official website of the Vietnam Railways (https://dsvn.vn) or contact local travel agencies in Ninh Binh.
In Ninh Binh, visitors need to go to the Ninh Binh Railway Station on Hoang Hoa Tham Street, within the city center. To get there, walking, taking a taxi/car/bus or public transport,…are possible. Passengers are advised to be here at least 1 hour before departure. If stay in Tam Coc, the distance to Ninh Binh Railway Station is nearly 6 kilometers. Visitors can take a taxi/car to reach this station.
In Da Nang, passengers will get off at the Da Nang Railway Station on Hai Phong Street within its downtown. From here, the distance to Ba Na Hills is around 25 kilometers. Therefore, 1-hour drive by car/bus is needed to reach it, depending on traffic and weather. No public transportation is available now from this railway station to the hills. Nha Trang to Ba Na Hills by Bus
The distance from Ninh Binh to Da Nang is nearly 677 kilometers. If going by bus, it takes visitors 11-12 hours. To have time enough to reach and visit Ba Na Hills, we recommend getting an overnight bus or sleeper bus.
In Ninh Binh, visitors need to go to the station on Le Dai Hanh Street, within its city center. Some buses depart from Tam Coc, a popular tourist area in the city/province.
In Da Nang, local buses will drop off passengers at the Da Nang Central Bus Station on Ton Duc Thang Street (near Nga Ba Hue crossroad). The distance from this station to Ba Na Hills is 22 kilometers. To reach Ba Na Hills, should book a private transfer in advance to have a smooth trip (rather than taking a random taxi or driver). If have time, visitors can stay overnight somewhere between Ninh Binh and Da Nang, like Phong Nha and Hue. From Phong Nha, it’s easy to find a bus to reach Da Nang.
