Nha Trang to Ba Na Hills by Flight
Ba Na Hills is located in Da Nang city, the capital of central Vietnam. From the city center, the distance to Ba Na Hills is 25-30 kilometers. Golden Hands Bridge, one of the most well-known tourist bridges across the globe, lies within this theme park. Here, cable car lines are amongst the longest and the steepest ones worldwide. Nha Trang is another coastal city in central Vietnam. This city boasts lengthy sandy beaches along the shore of one of the most beautiful bays in the country as well as striking islands, marine parks, extensive amusement parks, ancient remains of Champa kingdom,… It’s a popular beach destination for both local and foreign visitors. From Da Nang, the distance to Nha Trang is nearly 530 kilometers.
Today, the fastest way to get from Nha Trang to Ba Na Hills is taking a flight to Da Nang and then have a private transfer from Da Nang’s airport. In Nha Trang, visitors need to go to the Cam Ranh International Airport (code: CXR). A direct flight from here to Da Nang will be 1 hour long, and it’s operated by Vietnam Airlines or/and Vietjet Air (depending on the date). Sometimes, to fly from Nha Trang to Da Nang, passengers need to transit in the airport at Ho Chi Minh city or Hanoi. We recommend booking the earliest flight to have time enough for visiting Ba Na Hills.
At the Cam Ranh International Airport, there are two terminals: Terminal 1 for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international flights. The flight from Nha Trang to Da Nang is inside Vietnam, so visitors need to be in Terminal 1 at least 2 hours before departure. From Nha Trang city center, the distance is around 40 kilometers. If going by car/bus, it takes passengers 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic and weather. Currently, online check in and E-boarding pass are accepted for domestic flights in Vietnam at the Cam Ranh International Airport.
In Da Nang, flights from Phu Quoc Island will land at the Da Nang International Airport (code: DAD), particularly Terminal 1. From this terminal, visitors need 1-hour drive by car/bus to reach Ba Na Hills, depending on traffic and weather (the distance is about 25 kilometers). Nha Trang to Ba Na Hills by Train
Visitors can take train from Nha Trang to Da Nang city, and then have a private transfer to Ba Na Hills. Duration of the fastest train ride between these cities is 9-10 hours. We recommend buying tickets in an overnight train, in order to arrive Da Nang in the morning and then have time enough for visiting Ba Na Hills.
To buy tickets, please come to the train station of Nha Trang or browse the official website of the Vietnam Railways (https://dsvn.vn) or contact local travel agencies in Nha Trang.
In Nha Trang, visitors need to go to Nha Trang Railway Station on Thai Nguyen Street, within the city center. To get there, walking, taking a taxi/car/bus or public transport,…are possible. If stay on islands, please return to the mainland first and then have a transfer by car/bus to the train station. Passengers are advised to be here at least 1 hour before departure.
In Da Nang, passengers will get off at the Da Nang Railway Station on Hai Phong Street within its downtown. From here, the distance to Ba Na Hills is around 25 kilometers. Therefore, 1-hour drive by car/bus is needed to reach it, depending on traffic and weather. No public transportation is available now from this railway station to the hills. Nha Trang to Ba Na Hills by Bus
The distance from Nha Trang to Da Nang is nearly 530 kilometers. If going by bus, it takes visitors 10-12 hours. To have time enough to reach and visit Ba Na Hills, we recommend getting an overnight bus or sleeper bus.
In Nha Trang, visitors need to go to the station on Tran Quy Cap Street if buy tickets from Futa Bus Line, or the North Nha Trang Bus Station on 2/4 Street (April 2 Street) if booked other buses.
In Da Nang, local buses will drop off passengers at the Da Nang Central Bus Station on Ton Duc Thang Street (near Nga Ba Hue crossroad). The distance from this station to Ba Na Hills is 22 kilometers. To reach Ba Na Hills, should book a private transfer in advance to have a smooth trip (rather than taking a random taxi or driver). If have time, visitors can stay overnight somewhere between Nha Trang and Da Nang, like Quy Nhon and Hoi An. From Quy Nhon, it’s easy to find a bus to reach Da Nang. From Hoi An, it’s possible to reach Ba Na Hills without coming to Da Nang.
