Restaurants in My Son Sanctuary

There is one restaurant lying inside My Son Sanctuary currently. It’s located near the inner buggy station. From the entrance, visitors need to walk to the buggy station near the bridge crossing Khe The River. After a 2-kilometers-long ride (or 5-10 minutes), get off and walk again to see temples. This restaurant is by the starting point of the trails, not too far away from the drop off point. From temples, just return to the buggy station to find it (so it will be a good place to eat or drink something after sightseeing and hiking in My Son).

Near the entrance of My Son Sanctuary, there is another restaurant. It looks newer and has air-conditioned rooms for the guests. From the city of Da Nang or Hoi An, visitors can come here to eat or drink first, and then go into the sanctuary for sightseeing.

Up to date, there are only 2 restaurants still running in My Son Sanctuary. In the past, visitors could find more.

Visitors can go to better restaurants in the city of Da Nang or Hoi An before/after going to My Son Sanctuary. Between Hoi An and My Son, there are a few local restaurants serving tourists, but their menu is quite limited.

If be a vegetarian/vegan or have a strict diet (like halal), restaurants in My Son Sanctuary may not suitable for you.

Food Options in My Son Sanctuary

There are options for food and drink, although the best and most extensive meals are typically enjoyed before or after your visit in nearby towns like Hoi An or Da Nang.

The most famous dish in the area is Mì quảng (Quang noodles), especially Mi quang ga or chicken noodle. It features turmeric-infused rice noodles, a small amount of rich broth, and a variety of toppings like shrimp, pork, chicken, and a crispy rice cracker. It’s often recommended by local people because the chicken meat is fresh, selected from farms or households in nearby villages. The noodle sticks are also produced right by local rice and artisans. At restaurants in My Son Sanctuary, it’s possible to see fried rice dishes, noodle dishes, and popular western dishes. Visitors also see a variety of beverages.

Many tours from Hoi An and Da Nang include lunch in the package. To have a good meal and save time, book a day trip!
