Best Time to Visit My An Beach
The best time to visit My An Beach in the year is the dry season, from February to the end of August. In this period, the weather is beautiful, with lots of sun and no rain. For that reason, it’s a perfect time to sightsee, sunbathe, go swimming, take pictures, and play water sports.
The worst time of the year to visit My An Beach is the rainy season, from September to January. The weather in these months is mostly rainy and cloudy, so it’s not really great to head over to the beach. Between October and December/January, typhoons may hit the area, causing very strong winds and waves as well as heavy rains and floods.

Things to Do in My An Beach, Da Nang Vietnam
My An Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Da Nang city. For that reason, it’s a good place to sightsee and take pictures. This beach has a 1,6-kilometers-long stretch of white fine sand, lying between coconut trees and crystal clear ocean. From here, the view to Son Tra Mountain/Monkey Mountain (left end, with a giant Lady Buddha statue), islands of Cham Islands and the Marble Mountains, is absolutely fascinating. In the north and south, its strand is connected with My Khe Beach and Non Nuoc Beach, two world-famous beaches in the city. The natural scenery here is even better in the sunrise. My An Beach is one of the most photographed beaches in Da Nang city.

My An Beach vs My Khe Beach: Which is Better?
In general, My An Beach and My An Beach are nearly similar (because they lie on the same coastline). In the dry season, both are good for visiting, going swimming, taking pictures and playing water sports. Visitors can find lots of accommodation options within these areas. So, it’s difficult to say that My Khe Beach or My An Beach is better.

How to Get to My An Beach in Da Nang
My An Beach is on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, in My An ward, Ngu Hanh Son district, Da Nang Vietnam (between the crossroad of Nguyen Van Thoai Street and the crossroad of Ho Xuan Huong Street).
If staying in the hotels within My An ward (formerly Bac My An ward), visitors can walk to My An Beach. From other areas of Son Tra district and Ngu Hanh Son district, walking, taking a taxi or riding the motorbike is all possible (the most suitable way for you depends on the distance and level of fitness).
From Hoi An, the distance to My Khe Beach is some 30 kilometers. The most popular ways of transport are taking a private car/bus and riding the motorbike. The drive by car is around 40 minutes long. The best motorbike route is the coastal road (Lac Long Quan Street in Hoi An, Truong Sa Street/Vo Nguyen Giap Street in Da Nang). Visitors just need to go along it, northwards to see My Khe Beach (which lies on the right hand side). Do not forget stopping to explore the Marble Mountains on the way!
