Money Exchange in Da Nang International Airport
In December 2025, international visitors can go to the counter of these Vietnamese banks to check the rate and get Vietnam dong (and vice versa): MB (Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank), BIDV (Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam), EXIM (Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank), VIETCOMBANK (Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam). Their opening hours are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
At Terminal 2 of Da Nang Airport, these currencies are accepted: USD (US Dollar), EUR (Euro), AUD (Australian Dollar), GBP (British Pound), JPY (Japanese Yen), CAD (Canadian Dollar), CHF (Swiss Franc), HKD (Hong Kong Dollar). The rate depends on the bank, value of the bank note (for example, 100 USD note has a higher rate than 20 USD or 5 USD), market price of the day,… Therefore, we can not inform the exact rates.
Where to find the money exchange in Da Nang Airport? Currently, visitors can go to the counters in Terminal 2 (international terminal), particularly the public area of the arrival hall. After immigration and baggage, go outside and then turn right. Bank counters are on right hand side.
If the rate is not good for you at Terminal 2, consider going to these places instead:
– Bank branches across the city (most reliable but a bit lower rate)
– Good shops around Han Market, the largest local market in city downtown (higher rate than banks but technically illegal in Vietnam)
– Shops around Hoi An’s Old Town and the Central Market of Hoi An
To get cash, consider going to ATMs inside Terminal 2 or around the city.
*Note: Many local tour operators in Da Nang area accept foreign currency to pay for their services. The most popular currency now is US Dollar.
