Best Time to Visit Man Thai Beach in Da Nang
The best time to visit Man Thai Beach in the year is the dry season, from February to the end of August. In this period, the weather is beautiful, with lots of sun and no rain. For that reason, it’s a perfect time to sightsee, sunbathe, go swimming, take pictures, and play water sports. Water activities are only available and safe to join during the above months.
The worst time of the year to visit Man Thai Beach is the rainy season, from September to January. The weather in these months is mostly rainy and cloudy, making the sand wet and the water cold. Therefore, it’s not really a great time to visit the beach for the purpose of swimming or doing water sports. Sightseeing will be fine. Between October and December/January, typhoons may hit the area, causing very strong winds and waves as well as heavy rains and floods.

What to Expect in Man Thai Beach Da Nang?
Between Tho Quang Beach (north) and Phuoc My Beach (south), because of being lesser known, Man Thai Beach is known as one of the most peaceful beaches in the area. It has a non-stop and clean stretch of fine white sand, with blue and clear water in the front and undeveloped areas in the back, with lots of pine trees and coconut trees. The strand is newly restored after a heavy damage happened here many years ago.
From Man Thai Beach, on the left hand side, there is a portion of Son Tra Peninsula (Monkey Mountain) rising up to 700 meters above sea level, which has a giant Lady Buddha statue, and fishing boats at the foot of the hills. On the right hand side, there are islands of Cham Islands, a national marine park and UNESCO world biosphere reserve, and high-rise hotel buildings along the seafront of My Khe Beach. No surprise, Man Thai Beach is a good place for those who love seeing beautiful natural landscapes and taking pictures. Compared to nearby beaches, the atmosphere is more peaceful here.
During the dry season, going swimming at Man Thai Beach is safe for both adults and kids. In the early morning or late afternoon, visitors will see many local people who come here to cool down, do exercise, play sports and of course, go swimming. The water is not deep and the waves are gentle. Because it is less crowded, parents can take their children to Man Thai Beach and then give them time to run on the beach, play in the water and build sand castles. Please do not forget swimsuits/swimwear!
If looking for a sun bed to lie down and chill with a cold beer, let’s go to the café located on the beachfront (or at the entrance of the beach). Those who take something from the food/drink menu, may not need to pay a fee to use the lounge.

– The best time to visit Man Thai Beach in the year is from February to the end of August. During this period, it’s sunny and dry. The chance of rain and typhoons is very low.

How to Get to Man Thai Beach in Da Nang
The main swimming spot of Man Thai Beach is near the crossroad of Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Hoang Sa Street and Vuong Thua Vu Street, Man Thai ward, Son Tra district, Da Nang city, Vietnam.
From Da Nang, visitors can walk, take a car/minivan/bus or ride the motorbike to Man Thai Beach. If take a bike, just park on the pavement of the coastal road. It’s free but visitors should lock before walking to the beach.
From Hoi An, the distance to Man Thai Beach is some 30 kilometers. Visitors often hire a car/minivan/bus or ride the motorbike to get there. If ride the motorbike, the quickest way is following the coastal road (Lac Long Quan St in Hoi An, Truong Sa St or Vo Nguyen Giap St) until coming to the crossroad of Vuong Thua Vu Street. The beach lies on the right hand side (with Son Tra sign).
