Long Hung Church in Quang Tri Province was originally built in the mid-1950s as a local place of worship. During the fierce 81-day battle of the Quang Tri Citadel in 1972, the structure served as a strategic combat outpost and fierce battleground. Today, its heavily pockmarked, bullet-scarred ruins remain standing alongside Highway 1 as a stark and powerful war memorial.
