Things to See & Do in Le Jardin D’Amour Flower Garden

The Promise Square (Quang Truong Uoc Hen)

From the entrance gate, visitors need to walk downstairs to visit Le Jardin D’Amour Flower Garden. At the foot of the slope, looking to the right side, it’s possible to see the Promise Square (Quang Truong Uoc Hen). This is a small square with seasonal flowers and a model of a zodiac animal which represents the year in the Vietnamese lunar calendar. In 2024, it’s dragon and in 2025, it will be a snake. In a corner, there is the name of the complex ‘Le Jardin D’Amour’.

To go to and visit other attractions, it’s needed to go downstairs again. If do not like the slope, visitors can use the staircase lying on the right hand side.

Flower Gardens of Le Jardin D’Amour

The best thing to do in Le Jardin D’Amour Flower Garden is seeing flowers, designed landscapes, and taking photos. At the moment, there are nine gardens:

Vuon Thieng (Sacred/Holy Garden): This garden is on the top of the hill, separate from other gardens in the complex of Le Jardin D’Amour Flower Garden. It has no religious meaning. Here, it’s easy to observe huge castles on another mountaintop (known as the French Village, Lunar Castle,…) or the back of the giant Buddha statue in the lower ground. On cloudy days, the scenery from Sacred/Holy Garden is absolutely striking. To see it, visitors can climb stairs from the Promise Square (Quang Truong Uoc Hen) or from the Memory Garden (Vuon Ky Uc). Due to being away from main paths, there are not so many people coming here during the day.

Nha Tinh Tam (Meditation House) is located in this garden. If climb stairs from the main path, it’s the first building. Like its name, the atmosphere here is very peaceful.

Vuon Nho (Grape Garden): This small garden is near the entrance of Debay Ancient Wine Cellar and by the main walking path (its name may be inspired by the cellar where grape wine was preserved in the colonial time). It has grapeyard but not all year round. Instead, visitors can see cockspur coral trees with their red flowers anytime. Here, musical and dancing performances are held in the morning and less frequent in the afternoon. Sure, it’s done by professional foreign artists, awesome and free of charge to watch.

Vuon Uyen Uong (Love Garden): This garden is in the centre of Le Jardin D’Amour Flower Garden, not far away from Debay Ancient Wine Cellar. It’s bounded by the walking path (Dumour Restaurant), the Grape Garden, the Mythology Garden, the Thought Garden and the Mystery Garden (the maze). It’s featured by a tall statue of a ballerina wearing a flower dress, dancing in the middle of lush and colorful flower gardens. Weekly, types of flower will be changed or renewed, bringing it a new look. There are so many visitors stopping here to take pictures. If want, you can meet a professional photographer here and let him take some photographs for you (alone, with a lover, friends or family). The price for a print starts from 100,000 VND. You don’t spend too much time waiting for selecting, editing, and printing the best photo. Sometimes, groups of 10 people and above will be given a free photo print.

Vuon Ky Uc (Memory Garden): This Italian-style garden is next to the wine bar, below the Holy Garden (Vuon Thieng) and above the Mythology Garden (Vuon Than Thoai) (connected with a steep, zigzag road lined by umbrella pines). It has statues of 4 ladies, representing four seasons in the year.

Vuon Than Thoai (Mythology Garden): This garden is next to the Love Garden (Vuon Uyen Uong), below the wine bar. It’s characterized by white colonnades with a Greek style, each topped with a pine tree. Many visitors like taking photos here. Nearby, there is an amphitheatre where outdoor musical and dancing performances occur during the day, especially in the morning. Downstairs, it’s possible to find some cable cars made by plants or cute animal statues.

– Vuon Suy Tuong (Thought Garden): This garden is behind the ballerina statue, but on the left hand side. It has a chessboard with big marble pieces, trumpet flower trees, and a stepped waterfall with marble statues and exotic plants. All sculptures are produced at Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village, a renowned traditional craft village in Da Nang (at the foot of the Marble Mountains).

Vuon Bi An (Mystery Garden): This garden is behind the ballerina statue of the Love Garden, between the Thought Garden (Vuon Suy Tuong) and the main walking path that leads to the big Buddha statue. Actually, it’s a small square maze, filled by plants and cobble walkways without rules. Visitors should try entering the Mystery Garden, getting lost and escaping then. On the top, it’s possible to see the whole below gardens.

Vuon Dia Dang (Eden Garden): This garden is next to Doumer Restaurant and the main walking path to the Big Buddha. It’s characterized by a peacock sculpture with designed flowers as the body. The best spots to view/photograph are from the balcony of the restaurant. From here, visitors can observe the Golden Hands Bridge that lies above the jungle.

Vuon Suoi Mo (Spring Stream Garden): This garden lies below the Eden Garden, featured by windmills, stepped streams with fish/dragon statues, lavender or sunflower or hydrangea flower. From here, the panoramic view to the areas below is just awesome. It becomes more majestic on cloudy days (or cloudy hours in the afternoon) or at sunset. The hands of the Golden Bridge rising from the jungle can be observed too. Suoi Mo Garden is not wheelchair accessible.

Debay Wine Cellar & Wine Bar

Built in 1923 by French people, Debay Wine Cellar is one of the last remains of historic Ba Na Hills, one of renowned hill stations in Vietnam and Indochina. It’s 100 meters long, with the entrance overlooking Le Jardin D’Amour Flower Garden. In the middle, the tunnel is widened, to house a wine car, dancing floor, wine racks and a dining room. In the later part, small rock caves are used to store grape wine bottles imported from France. The owners even used the water in the mountain to keep them cool. Nowadays, wine preservation has stopped here. See more information & details

In the bar outside the wine cellar, visitors can taste wine, both locally and internally sourced. There are numerous tables to choose from, including ones with a lovely view to Le Jardin D’Amour Flower Garden or the back of the giant Buddha statue. Grilled beef/ostrich/chicken skewers are also sold, to eat with.

It’s needed to buy a ticket to enter the Debay Ancient Wine Cellar today. The price begins from 100,000 VND/person, including a cup of wine. Visitors will select one of the choices available on the menu.

Ba Na Hills Funicular 1

Opened on 26th April 2014, this is the first funicular in Ba Na Hills and Vietnam. It’s built to transfer visitors from D’Amour Station (near Ba Na Cable Car Station/Debay Cable Car Station) to Le Jardin Station (on the hilltop). A ride on this train is 2 minutes long and total number of passengers is up to 80. Due to inauguration of new cable cars and especially Golden Hands Bridge, the funicular is less frequently operated. Therefore, visitors need to come and check later in the day. If do not see, let’s go to the Lunar Castle and experience the funicular ride from there. See more information & details

The Love Bridge (Cau Tinh Yeu)

A small and narrow bridge through the jungle where couples can have good pictures. Its entrance is near the entrance of Debay Wine Cellar and Doumer Restaurant.
