Best Time to Visit Lang Co Beach
The best time to visit Lang Co Beach in the year is the dry season, from February to the end of August. In this period, the weather is beautiful, with lots of sun and no rain. For that reason, it’s a perfect time to sightsee, sunbathe, go swimming, take pictures, and play water sports.
The worst time of the year to visit Lang Co Beach is the rainy season, from September to January. The weather in these months is mostly rainy and cloudy, so it’s not really great to head over to the beach. Between October and December/January, typhoons may hit the area, causing very strong winds and waves as well as heavy rains and floods.

Things to Do in Lang Co Beach Vietnam
Lang Co Beach is a 10-kilometers-long beach in Lang Co town of Phu Loc district. Currently, if don’t stay overnight in seaside hotels/resorts, visitors mainly come here to sightsee, take pictures and enjoy a beautiful natural scenery. This unbroken beach has white find sand with blue and clear water in the front, and a view to nearby forested mountains. At the left end, that is Chan May Mountain. Its name means ‘foot of the clouds’. At the right end, that is Hai Van Pass (a spectacular cape jutting into the ocean, often cloudy) and Son Cha Island (a marine park with rich underwater life, not Son Tra Peninsula!). The south end part of Lang Co Beach is close to fishing villages where visitors will see lots of boats, fish market and life of local fishermen. There is a small estuary (marking the end of the beach) where the water of Lap An Lagoon flows into the sea. Compared to some long beaches in central Vietnam, Lang Co Beach doesn’t lie totally inside resorts/hotels, therefore locals and tourists can go to it easily.

Where to Eat in Lang Co Beach?
Along the seafront of Lang Co town (Lang Co Beach), there are some local seafood restaurants. Visitors can go to these places to have lunch or dinner as well as enjoy cool breeze from the sea and beautiful views.
To go to local seafood restaurants on Lang Co Beach, visitors need to find the road near Loan Ly Church on Highway 1A (Lac Long Quan Street) (Google maps location: 16°14’52.9″N 108°04’24.5″E) and then go to its end. Additionally, in the end of the road next to the largest petrol station in Lang Co town (Google maps location: 16°14’07.0″N 108°04’56.0″E), there are some other restaurants. They line along the coastal road.
Along the shoreline of Lap An Lagoon, visitors will see some other seafood restaurants. They serve living and fresh seafood caught by local fishermen, including oysters raised right in the lagoon. During the daytime, the view to the lake and surrounding mountains is just fascinating.

How to Get to Lang Co Beach
Lang Co Beach is located in Lang Co town, Phu Loc district, Hue city, Vietnam. However, it’s nearer to Da Nang city center than Hue city center.
From Da Nang and Da Nang International Airport, the distance to Lang Co Beach is around 30 kilometers. The most popular ways to get to this beach are going by car or motorbike. The drive will be around 1 hour (via the tunnel). Some tours have the itinerary covering Hai Van Pass, Lap An Lagoon, Lang Co Beach and Suoi Mo (Dream Spring).
From Hoi An, the distance to Lang Co Beach is around 60 kilometers. Because there are some beautiful beaches close to Hoi An (such as An Bang Beach, Non Nuoc Beach, Ha My Beach, Tan Thanh Beach), so visitors usually do not to go to Lang Co Beach for swimming. However, this beach is a perfect stop on the way from Hoi An to Hue city (and vice versa), where visitors sightsee, take photos, take a break and have lunch.
If like to go to Lang Co Beach by train, visitors will need to come to the Da Nang Railway Station. After a 1,5-hour-long train ride through Hai Van Pass, let’s get off in the Lang Co Train Station. From here, the beach is not too far.
