Weather & Climate in Lady Buddha Da Nang

During the year, there are two distinct areas in Da Nang: the dry season (from February to end of August) and the rainy season (from September to January). In the dry season, it’s sunny everyday and the temperature will be high in the midday. This period of time is good for sightseeing and taking pictures. To avoid the strong heat, we recommend going in the early morning or late afternoon. In the rainy season, it rains frequently and typhoons may come to the city, causing a bad weather. Linh Ung Pagoda occasionally must be closed due to the typhoons. Top tip is checking the weather forecast in advance. If the rain is small, it’s also nice to come here thanks to lower temperature and lush vegetations.

HOIAN DAY TRIP company organizes tours to My Son Sanctuary everyday. Contact us by +84968009827 (hotline/whatsapp/line/zalo) or browse www.hoiandaytrip.com to book. Thank you very much!

What to Wear to Lady Buddha & Linh Ung Pagoda?

Visitors need to wear respectively to Lady Buddha and Linh Ung Pagoda in Son Tra Peninsula. In Vietnam, this complex is a holy/religious place because it’s a Buddhist temple. In other words, men and women need to wear long pants which cover the upper knees and a shirt which covers the navel and armpits. Female visitors also need to make sure that their shirt covers the back and the chest. The skirt must be long (to cover the navel). Clothes made of see-through materials are not accepted in Vietnamese traditional culture because it’s not respectful enough. Pants or shirts that fit tightly around the body (such as jegging,…), is thought to be not good for a temple visit. All kinds of footwear will be acceptable (so shoes, flip flops, sandals, high heels,… are okay).

Before going into worshipping places of Lady Buddha and Linh Ung Pagoda, make sure that visitors remove the hat, sun glasses and rain poncho (or umbrella), and take the shoes off.

Dress code checking is strict in Lady Buddha and Linh Ung Pagoda. If don’t wear ‘respective’ clothes, visitors will be not allowed to enter any worshipping areas.

If do not have a long pant or shirt because of traveling in hot months, visitors can go to shops near the parking lot to buy. Using a sarong or a long piece of fabric to wrap around the body to cover shoulders, chest, armpits, navel and upper knees, is okay.

Good walking shoes are a must bring/wear item. During the rainy season, waterproof shoes are better. Sandal is fine but quite dangerous while going on wet and slippery paths.
