What to Expect in Khanh Lam Pagoda in Mang Den?

Sitting on the top of a pine hill, Khanh Lam Pagoda is the biggest Buddhist temple in Mang Den Vietnam. Its construction started on 7th March 2012 and finished in 2017. Its name was derived from Trung ‘Khanh’ Pagoda and Phuoc ‘Lam’ Pagoda where Vietnamese Buddhist monk Thich Nhuan Bao practiced (before becoming the leader of Khanh Lam Pagoda). In Vietnamese, Khanh Lam means ‘sound of the bell in the forest’.

The main Buddha hall has a special architecture which blends traditional designs of a north Vietnam Buddhist temple and elements from culture of local ethnics in the region. To see it, visitors need to climb many stairs from the foot of the hill or the main road.

The surrounding area of Khanh Lam Pagoda’s worshipping building is decorated by colorful flower gardens, bonsai trees, and statues of Buddha.
