Top 11 Reasons to Visit Golden Hands Bridge

Golden Hands Bridge is an Architectural Masterpiece

Golden Hands Bridge is designed by experienced Vietnamese designers and landscapers, and built from July 2017 to April 2018. Its design is to depict two giant hands rising out from the mountain and holding a long strip of golden silk (150 meters long in reality).

The hands make visitors most curious and inspirational. Both of them look like stone, mossy and rough, to be opposite to the golden, bright and smooth foot bridge they hold. Builders used steel to create their frame, and then used fiberglass and wire mesh to form the fingers and the palm. These hands represent the hands of God that remind visitors about the Lord of Rings.

Handrails of the bridge section are stainless steel plated by titanium, making it so gorgeous in the sunshine. Below the building, there are gardens with many flowers and Norfork pine trees. For those who love the architecture, Golden Hands Bridge is definitely a place not to miss in Vietnam or more than that, an once-a-lifetime destination. In 2021, the Daily Mail honoured it to be the new world’s wonder in Vietnam.

Golden Hands Bridge is Just Perfect for Taking Pictures

Thanks to an unusual design and idea, all travelers want to have at least one picture on this bridge. During the day, it’s busy here, so to avoid the crowds, visitors should visit in the early morning (when the cable car just opens) or the late afternoon (before the sunset time). We recommend bringing selfie sticks to capture some photos from above or without many people. If don’t have, can buy in phone accessories shops in the city or right at shops by the bridge. Somebody also believes that it’s less crowded in the second hand (from the cable car station) because tourists are so excited in the first hand where they have the first sight. Additionally, visitors can book a private tour with a local guide who can help to take nice pictures (solo travelers/couples should think about it). For a photo print, can go to the end of the bridge, to see photographers there and pay them. Once visit, should find good photos taken by persons who have already visited (Instagram is kind of the best place to seek good ideas).

Incredible View from Golden Hands Bridge

This bridge lies in Ba Na Hills (a mountain resort), at an elevation of 1,414 meters, so offers a fascinating panoramic view to areas below when it’s sunny. From here, visitors can see untouched forests and rolling hills of Ba Na Nui Chua Nature Reserve, cloudy peaks of Bach Ma National Park and Hai Van Pass to the left, winding rivers and rice fields in Hoi An to the right, and mountains, outskirt and downtown of Da Nang city in the front (including the Monkey Mountain/Son Tra Peninsula, the Marble Mountains). It’s possible to see purple Cham Islands together with blue ocean (Pacific Ocean) around the horizon also. This awe-inspiring view is an exceptional added value that visitors don’t really know before going to the Golden Hands Bridge. Occasionally, red shanked douc langurs appear in nearby forests, giving such a great opportunity to watch them and photograph. By the way, this langur is one of the rarest primate species on our planet. To see them, people often must book a tour with a specialist.

Thanks to a special geographical location, Ba Na Hills where the Golden Hands Bridge sits, is cloudy/foggy on many days. Then the clouds are lower than the bridge (forming ‘a sea of cloud’), the view from the bridge is just breath-taking, just like an airplane view. For that reason, Vietnamese people call the place ‘the heaven on earth’. In the days with this weather, the view of Da Nang (as mentioned above) isn’t seen. But anyway, it’s definitely worth it.
