Where is Hoi An Memories Show?
The theater where Hoi An Memories Show takes place, is located in Hoi An Memories Land, a theme park and hotel complex in Hoi An Vietnam. The Hoi An Memories Land park also lies on an island of Thu Bon River, the largest river in the area. It’s connected with the city by two bridges: one bridge from the south bank (Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, Cam Nam Island) and one bridge from the north bank called ‘Moonlight Bridge‘ (Tran Quang Khai Street or Huyen Tran Cong Chua Street, Cam Chau ward). While the ‘south bridge’ is smaller, simply designed and accessible for cars, the ‘north bridge’ or Moonlight Bridge is pedestrian only and has a larger size and a unique design (inspired by the full moon festival). For that reason, this bridge is more famous.
To get to the theater for Hoi An Memories Show from the main entrance of the park, visitors need to walk through shopping areas, restaurants, food and beverage stalls, bridges. The distance is around 500 meters. We recommend finding Non La Restaurant (a bamboo restaurant) and the theater is just nearby.

How to Get to Hoi An Memories Show from Hoi An
Walking
The theater for the Hoi An Memories Show is in the Hoi An Memories Land, an island and a theme park in Hoi An Vietnam. It’s accessible by two bridges: the Moonlight Bridge (north) and the Hoi An Memories Bridge (south).
If staying in Cam Nam area, we suggest walking to the Hoi An Memories Show by the Hoi An Memories Bridge. Its entrance is on Luong Nhu Bich Road (Google maps location: 15°52’24.4″N 108°20’14.9″E). From anywhere in Cam Nam, the walking distance to this point is 2 kilometers maximum. After coming here, go across the bridge, turn right and then turn left to see the ticket check point. If didn’t buy any ticket in advance, the ticket counter is just to the left.
From the rest of Hoi An city, we suggest walking to the Moonlight Bridge. It’s located at 65 Tran Quang Khai Street (a petrol station here). After coming to this place and passing the ticket check point in the bridge’s entrance, walk across it and turn right, turn left to see the entrance gate of the park. We think that if stay in Cam Chau area, Son Phong area and Minh An area, walking distance won’t be too long. From other areas, think about car, bicycle, motorcycle or even boat.
From the Hoi An Old Town, walking to the Hoi An Memories Show is absolutely possible. The shortest road is Tran Quang Khai Street or Huyen Tran Cong Chua Street. Because Huyen Tran Cong Chua Street runs along the river, it’s less crowded than Tran Quang Khai Street.

Going by Taxi/Car/Bus
From anywhere in Hoi An city, visitors can take a taxi or private car to the Hoi An Memories Show. The distance is 8 kilometers maximum, so it takes less than 30 minutes to get there (the park). The cost is about 20,000 VND each kilometer.
For those who want to a limited mobility or just want to save time, we suggest going to the main entrance to have the shortest waking distance to the show (via the bridge on Nguyen Tri Phuong Street).
If want to have a better experience, we suggest going to 65 Tran Quang Khai Street and then climb to the top of Moonlight Bridge, one of the most famous bridges in Hoi An. At its end, turn right and then turn left to see the entrance gate of the park.
A minivan is possible to go into the Hoi An Memories Land island, so visitors do not mind booking one van to watch the show. The van can wait in the parking lot, and after the show ends, it’s quick to see it for the return drive.
If go to the park by a big bus, visitors will be dropped off near the Moonlight Bridge (a petrol station). After that, walk to the theater on the island. When the show ends, return to the petrol station to see the bus again.

Going by Electric Buggy
In Hoi An city center, visitors can use an electric buggy to go to Hoi An Memories Show. The price of this vehicle is affordable and during the ride, watching the city is interesting. One buggy can carry up to 12 passengers, so it’s the best choice for families and groups when traveling without a tour.
If want to go to Hoi An Memories Show from Hoi An Old Town or Hoi An Night Market, firstly need to leave the pedestrian zone first and then take a random buggy to reach the show island. Usually, it’s easy to see it in these spots: crossroad of Nguyen Phuc Chu Street and Cao Hong Lanh Street, Song Hoai Square, crossroad of Cong Nu Ngoc Hoa Street and Cao Hong Lanh Land Street (near Red Seal Ship), Hoi An Museum of History & Culture, and crossroad of Hoang Dieu Street and Phan Chu Trinh Street (near famous Banh Mi Phuong). From your location, just come to the closest spot. If go with kids, seniors, or want to skip walking to the buggy spots, visitors can use a rickshaw (cyclo). There is no fixed price for this vehicle, so it’s needed to ask how much before getting on it. To find one, go to the rickshaw station by Museum of Folklore on Hoang Van Thu Street.
The price for an electric buggy ride from Hoi An Old Town to Hoi An Memories Show island is from 10,000 to 30,000 VND each person, depending on number of passengers and the distance.
Visitors can request to drop off in the main entrance of Hoi An Memories Land (theme park) or the Moonlight Bridge. From the park entrance, the distance to the show is shorter.
From hotels and restaurants in other areas within Hoi An city center, visitors can ask for a help from local people to call an electric buggy when need it. In the hotel, just walk down to the reception and have a request. Like a taxi, it’s needed to wait for a few minutes.
From areas of An Bang Beach, Cua Dai Beach, Cam Chau, Cam Thanh, Cam Ha and Thanh Ha, it’s difficult to book an electric buggy because of far distance.

Going by Bicycle & Motorbike
Riding the bicycle is one of the most popular ways for visitors to get around Hoi An city center. At many hotels, guests can use it for free.
If staying in Cam Nam area, visitors need to cycle to 200 Nguyen Tri Phuong Street and then go across the nearby bridge to see the Hoi An Memories Land Island. In the end of the bridge, turn right, go straight and the parking lot is on the left hand side. Staff in the park stand along the route to show the right direction. It’s free of charge to put your bike here. After that, visitors need 1 minute only to see the ticket counter to buy tickets or use E-ticket to scan and go in then.
The another option is cycling to the Moonlight Bridge on Tran Quang Khai Street/Huyen Tran Cong Chua Street. Parking here requires a fee of 5,000-10,000 VND/bike/time because it’s owned by some individuals. From here, after buying/checking ticket, walk to the top of the bridge, and on the other side, turn right, go straight and then turn left to see the main entrance of the park.
Couples can consider riding the motorbike to go faster. On the other hand, from areas of An Bang Beach, Cua Dai Beach, Cam Thanh, Thanh Ha, Cam Ha and further, going by motorbike is better than bicycle. If confident and have a full license, My Son Sanctuary or Marble Mountains are good places to go by bike.

Going by Boat
Because Hoi An Memories Land lies on an island, therefore visitors can reach it by boat. After arriving it, just walk to the theatre where the show begins. One boat carries up to 12 people. Currently, there are two options to choose:
Option 1: Book a boat tour from locals with pick up in Hoi An Old Town pier and drop off near Moonlight Bridge. This option is cheaper, especially for families and groups. We recommend departing in late afternoon to watch the sunset and release the lanterns below the Moonlight Bridge once go into the park.

Option 2: Join the boat tour organized by Hoi An Memories Land them park itself. This mini tour is hosted by an English speaking guide.

How to Get to Hoi An Memories Show from Da Nang
The distance from Hoi An Memories Show island from Da Nang city downtown is around 30 kilometers. Visitors can take a taxi, private car/van/bus, hotel shuttle bus or ride the motorbike to get there. If going by car/van/bus, the drive is around 1 hour, and it’s bit longer if going by motorbike.
Visitors should visit famous attractions in Hoi An before watching Hoi An Memories Show (at 8:00 PM). Above any other places, Hoi An Old Town is a must see. This town is not only a UNESCO world heritage site, but also a paradise for foodies, shopaholics, photographers, Instagrammers,…. It’s the prettiest town in Vietnam. After the darkness, it becomes such colorful, lightful and atmospheric thanks to thousands of lanterns which locals decorate the streets and houses. The best night to visit is the full moon night when the traditional Lantern festival takes place. Night markets, Hoai River (where boat ride to release lanterns will be seen),… are other highlights.

If want to ride the motorbike from Da Nang to Hoi An Memories Show, the best route is the coastal road (Vo Nguyen Giap Street/Truong Sa Street). After pass by the Marble Mountains, keep going southwards. At the crossroad of An Bang Beach (a traffic light here, or crossroad of Lac Long Quan Street and Hai Ba Trung Street), turn right and go straight. At crossroad of Hai Ba Trung Street and Ly Thuong Kiet Street, turn left, go straight and then turn right to enter Ngo Gia Tu Street/Hoang Dieu Street. Go cross Cam Nam Bridge and then follow Nguyen Tri Phuong Street until seeing the board showing the direction to Hoi An Memories Show (at 200 Nguyen Tri Phuong Street). Turn left, go straight and across the bridge, turn right to see the parking lot. It’s free of charge to put your bike here.

Going to Hoi An Memories Show Theater
If access the Hoi An Memories Land by the ‘Hoi An Memories Bridge’ (on the south bank of the river), here are directions to the theater:
- Turn right after going cross the bridge
- Go straight and then find the ticket counter to the left
- After ticket check, go straight and then find the citadel gate to the right
- Go in the citadel gate and then go straight to the central square (through the commercial quarter)
- Go towards Non La Restaurant (bamboo restaurant) and then keep following the path to see the theater. From the central square, visitors can walk through the Japanese Bridge or the Chinese Bridge, and then turn left to see the path to the theater.
From the parking lot of Hoi An Memories Land (near the Hoi An Memories Bridge, see location on the map below), there is only a very short walk needed to see the ticket counter.
If access the Hoi An Memories Land by the Moonlight Bridge (on the north bank of the river), here are directions to the theater:
- Turn right after going cross the bridge
- Go straight (along the riverside road) and then turn left
- After ticket check, go straight and then find the citadel gate to the right
- Go in the citadel gate and then go straight to the central square (through the commercial quarter)

How to Get Back from Hoi An Memories Show
If didn’t book a return transfer, visitors should go back to the park’s main entrance, and then take a buggy. Solo travelers, couples, and small groups/families will pay individually (per person), depending on the distance. Big groups can request a private buggy.
If booked a roundtrip transport by car/bus, visitors can choose to be picked up at the parking lot near park’s main entrance or along Tran Quang Khai Street (near the Moonlight Bridge). Big bus will pick up at somewhere on Tran Quang Khai Street (so visitors need to return the Moonlight Bridge). We advise telling the driver to come to pick up point at least 15 minutes before the show finishes (before 8:45 pm). After show, it’s crowded and the traffic will be high.
If go to the park/show by motorbike or bicycle, just return to the parking lot near the park’s main entrance.
If want to go back to Da Nang, we suggest booking a roundtrip transfer in advance. After the show, it’s more difficult to book a car/bus and the price may be much higher.
