My Khe Beach to Ba Na Hills by Car

Taking a private car to go to Ba Na Hills from My Khe Beach, is the most popular choice for international visitors. The distance is 27-30 kilometers, so it takes 40-60 minutes. The drive back from Ba Na Hills to My Khe Beach may be longer because the car has to move through Da Nang city downtown in rush hours.

About picking up

If leave My Khe Beach early in the day, the transfer time will be shorter thanks to lower traffic. To avoid the crowds at Ba Na Hills, the car needs to pick up in 6:45-7:15 am. Make sure that you bought tickets in advance as the official ticket counters just open at 8 am o’clock.

There is usually no extra fee to pick up around My Khe Beach area when book a private car service from local businesses.

On the way from My Khe Beach and Ba Na Hills, visitors can see Han River with big bridges and busy urban districts before peaceful and green rural lands.

About dropping off

In Ba Na Hills, the car will drop off visitors near the main entrance if arrive before 8 am or after 5/6 pm. Between 8 am and 5/6 pm, the drop off point is a further place. From there, free shuttle bus is available to go to the main entrance.

If go to Ba Na Hills in the morning, return time will be definitely afternoon or evening. Instead of the hotel, the best drop off points can be Dragon Bridge, Son Tra Night Market, Museum of Cham Sculpture (closed at 5 pm), Han Market (closed at 6/7 pm), Vincom Plaza, Military Museum (closed at 4:30 pm),… When these places are on the way back (meaning the distance won’t be longer or much longer), local drivers are happy to stop.

From Friday to Sunday, the fire and water show at Dragon Bridge takes place at 9 pm. Visitors need to ensure that the car will drop off here around 8:30 pm. Earlier dropping off is okay because can eat and shop at Son Tra Night Market.

My Khe Beach to Ba Na Hills by Public Transport

Until today, there is no public transportation to go from My Khe Beach directly to Ba Na Hills. However, visitors who travel with a budget, can take a bus from My Khe Beach to the airport area and from there, take Bus 03 to Ba Na Hills.

Bus 03 will depart from the Da Nang International Airport, and then goes along Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, Dien Bien Phu Street, Ton Duc Thang Street, Hoang Van Thai Street, and Ba Na – Suoi Mo Street, before stopping near Ba Na Hills main entrance (Lot 503).

The easiest way to catch Bus 03 is coming to the departure terminal on Man Thien Road (Google maps location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/VmR8vuFELWkYMqbu9).
