Rain Season in Hoi An Vietnam
The rainy season in Hoi An typically spans from September through January, bringing significant precipitation that shapes the rhythm of life in the ancient town. Heavy monsoon rains often cause the Thu Bon River to rise, occasionally leading to periodic flooding that requires residents to navigate narrow streets by boat. Despite the dampness, the downpours create a unique, melancholic atmosphere, washing away the summer dust and cooling the humid air. While travel plans may face disruptions from inclement weather, the town retains a quiet charm, offering visitors a chance to experience a slower, more reflective side of Vietnamese culture.
