What to Expect in Flying Eyes Theatre in Ba Na Hills?

The Flying Eyes Theatre is on L3 floor of the Lunar Castle, one of major castles in Sun World Ba Na Hills. It has two airships (rooms) and each one houses 25 persons every flight. During peak hours or Vietnamese holidays, long queues are often seen. It’s totally free to enter.

At the Flying Eyes Theatre, visitors will have the chance to watch an impressive 4D cinematic video/movie. Firstly, each person receives glasses from the staff and then it’s needed to put the bags into nearby lockers. Before the video begins, general regulations are spoken by both Vietnamese and English (not available in other languages). The video lasts around 10 minutes. During it, the viewers will fly up and travel around the world to see architectural wonders or famous cities: Giza Pyramid, Sydney Opera House, Statue of Liberty, London, Paris, Dubai, Rio de Janeiro, the Red Square at Moscow, Golden Gate Bridge at San Francisco, Taipei,…

After the Flying Eyes Theatre, visitors can go downstairs to find the Moon Junction Theatre to see another fascinating cinematic video. At the Moon Square, on the top of the Lunar Castle, don’t miss the spectacle ‘Battle in the Moon Kingdom’!. Then, we recommend taking a funicular ride to French Village (Mystery Well Station) to continue exploring Ba Na Hills.

How to Get to Flying Eyes Theatre in Ba Na Hills

The Flying Eyes Theatre is on L3 floor of Lunar Castle, Ba Na Hills, Hoa Ninh commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang Vietnam. This park is around 30 kilometers away from Da Nang city center and around 50 kilometers away from Hoi An.

The shortest cable car to the Lunar Castle is the one boarding at the Bordeaux station (near the Golden Hands Bridge). This ride is short, about 5 mins. After landing, visitors can go to the Eclipse Square (get the escalator/escalator 2 times) and then walking, or go to the Holy Well station to ride the funicular (the station is on the lowest storey of Arapang restaurant).

If ride the cable car at Thac Toc Tien station or Debay station, visitors will land at L’Indochine station or Morin station. After going outside, let’s walk to the Louvre station or Arapang restaurant. If ride the cable car at Champa station, the arrival station is Taiga station. From here, to reach the Lunar Castle, it’s needed to walk through the French Village, and then find the Louvre station or Arapang restaurant.

To go to the park (Ba Na Hills) from Da Nang, visitors can take a ride by car/taxi/van/bus or drive the motorbike (not recommended for those who have lugguage). For a better price, we advise booking a roundtrip transfer to Ba Na Hills, instead of one way. The price is from 700,000 VND, and the driver can wait for some hours. The best route for riding the motorbike is Ba Na – Suoi Mo road, a wide and low traffic road. From the hotel, visitors just need to find the shortest/quickest way to see it and then follow it until the security man at Ba Na Hills tells to stop. Parking here is free.

From Hoi An, the best ways to reach Ba Na Hills (including the French Village) is by car and motorbike. A drive by car is about 1 hour long, costing from 1,000,000 VND for a roundtrip. Driving the motorbike isn’t too difficult but it takes a bit to find the right directions on the way. Firstly, visitors need to follow the coastal road Lac Long Quan St until see Nam Ky Khoi Nghia St (in Da Nang), and then turn left, follow that road until can’t go anymore (due to construction). After that, follow QL1A highway and then Ba Na Suoi Mo road to the end.
