Is Ba Na Hills Wheelchair Accessible?

Ba Na Hills is largely wheelchair accessible thanks to modern cable cars, escalators, elevators, ramps, wide and flat pathways.

Here is everything wheelchair visitors need to know before visiting Ba Na Hills:

Cable cars: wheelchair visitors have a priority access at cable car station (so can skip the queue). There is only one family member allowed going with her/him to assist (meaning that the rest of the group still have to wait in the line). Staff are happy to help when moving into the cable car. Wheelchair users can sit in the cable car comfortably and safely during the ride up to Ba Na Hills.

The easiest cable car to access for wheelchair users is at Hoi An Station (the lowest station in Ba Na Hills). To get there from the main entrance, go through the Japanese-style bridge, enter the big gate Cong Thanh and then take elevator up to higher ground (other visitors will take escalator or climb stairs). After that, go through the major pathway (which has a ceiling decorated with colorful paintings depicting Hoi An) until see Hoi An Station. Signs and assisting staff are many along the way.

The cable car from Hoi An Station carries visitors to Golden Hands Bridge, a dream place to visit for many people.

From Golden Bridge, it’s needed to take cable car again to reach the other part of Ba Na Hills. Firstly, from Starbucks, go up ramps and take escalator to Bordeaux Station for cable car. After 5 minutes, landing at Louvre Station and moving from here to most famous landmarks is smooth because the walkway is flat.

Golden Hands Bridge: this bridge is 150-meters-long and definitely wheelchair friendly. It’s flat and wide. However, crowds are often seen here, especially in the morning after 8 am or right after lunch time. Moving through crowds by wheelchair is not smooth and comfortable. If possible, come in the early morning or after 3/4 pm to have an easier experience.

From the Marseille Station (where cable car lands), it’s needed to get up ramps and take escalators to see Golden Hands Bridge.

Other attractions

+ Le Jardin d’Amour Gardens: the path from Golden Bridge down to Le Jardin Station is easy, but there are two steep slopes down to flower gardens. Therefore, going down to this place and going up back to the bridge later may make wheelchair visitor’s assistant tired.

+ Debay Wine Cellar: not wheelchair accessible

+ Big Buddha: connected with flower gardens by ramps and a slopy pathway. Again, accessing this place is possible but may make wheelchair visitor’s assistant tired.

+ Linh Ung Pagoda (Ba Na Hills): not wheelchair accessible

+ French Village area: this area is flat, and almost all attractions within it are wheelchair accessible (including Saint Denis Church, Helios Waterfall, Ba Na Brew House, Medieval Fair,…).

+ Fantasy Park: accessible by elevator

+ Lunar Castle: wheelchair visitors can reach it and visit easily. The best way is taking funicular at Mystery Well Station in French Village area to Dragon Den Station within the castle. After that, use the elevator to get up to discover every floor. From French Village area, the stone path to Mystery Well Station is without slopes and ramps. From entrance of Arapang building, take the elevator down to the lowest floor to see the station.

+ King Peak/Nui Chua Peak, Linh Chua Linh Tu Temple, Linh Phong Thien Tu Pagoda, Linh Phong Tower: not wheelchair accessible

+ buffet restaurants: Taiga, Beer Plaza, Bharata, Arapang or Little Tokyo is recommended
