Does Ba Na Hills Open During Tet?
During Tet or the Vietnamese New Year Festival, Ba Na Hills still opens as normal. None of the attractions, activities and restaurants will be shut down if the weather is not bad. Actually, Vietnamese people just do not work on the Lunar New year days (around a week, decided by the government) to take a rest and celebrate the holiday. However, Ba Na Hills is a privately owned tourist area (owned and managed by Sun Group Vietnam), so even during the Lunar New Year, it’s always open. Everyday, the park’s opening hours and cable car schedule are from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm and the ticket price is the same. Hotel rooms will be more expensive than common days like anywhere in the area.
Even on the first day of the year, everything at Ba Na Hills is still ready for visitors. All attractions open, all activities/celebrations take place, all staff are excited and all restaurants serve food. No prices are higher than common and no extra fees. For that reason, this park is still one of the best places to visit during Tet.
