Things to Do in An Thuong Tourist Street in Da Nang
An Thuong Walking Street
An Thuong Walking Street was opened on 17th July 2023 as a part of the project to boost tourism development in Ngu Hanh Son district of Da Nang. It includes a portion of Hoang Ke Viem St, a portion of Tran Bach Dang St and four stone-paved roads (An Thuong 1 St, An Thuong 2 St, An Thuong 3 St and An Thuong 4 St). These roads are exclusive for pedestrians in the evening on weekend days. The entrance of An Thuong Walking Street is the east end of Hoang Ke Viem St (the crossroad with Vo Nguyen Giap St, the coastal road).
On Tran Bach Dang St, there is a night market, with food and souvenir stalls. This night market is always for walking. Near its entrance at Hoang Ke Viem St, on the weekend, outdoor festive dancing and singing performances will be held, bringing a vibrancy into the town. That’s why it’s busier than week days. On other streets, there are restaurants serving different cuisines, café, spas, bars, pubs, shops, hotels and apartments for rent that open throughout the day.
Restaurants alone in An Thuong Tourist Street have the most choices in Da Nang. Visitors can see non-vegetarian and vegetarian places as well as food from Vietnam, China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Turkey, France, England, Spain, Greek, Isarel, Mexico, United States, so on. The reason to explain this abundance is that there are many expats and foreigners living in the area.

An Thuong Night Market
Opened from 6 pm to 9-10 pm everyday, An Thuong Night Market is a small night market within An Thuong Tourist Street. It has a dozen stalls selling food and souvenirs, stretching along Tran Bach Dang St (between Hoang Ke Viem St and An Thuong 30 St). Here, there are only pedestrians allowed to get around. Street food options are enough to have a try, including seafood barbecues, grilled rice paper (banh trang nuong), fresh and fried spring rolls, grilled meat skewers, papaya salad, so on. If look for something to buy for souvenir, shoppers will see small handmade items (conical hat, marble statues, T-shirts, postcards, magnets, accessories, etc) and specialty cakes/candies/snacks (Cam Le dry sesame cake, mung bean cake, baked coconut cracker, candied fruits, caramelized seafood, nuts, seeds, spices, etc). On the street, it’s possible to meet small spas where cheap massage services are introduced.

My An Beach (Sea Star Beach)
My An Beach is on the eastern side of An Thuong Tourist Street. During the day, visitors can go swimming (fresh water shower available), lying on white sandy expanse to get tanned, relaxing on sun loungers under coconut trees, taking a good drink from beach bars, or eating fresh seafood in seafront restaurants, etc. In the late afternoon, water sports are available to participate in, such as jet skiing, parachuting, riding the banana boat, standup paddle boarding (SUP), etc.
At night, visitors can find peaceful bars/huts along My An Beach, to have drinks (both alcohol and non-alcohol options) with cool breeze and a view of the giant Lady Buddha.
Compared to My Khe Beach in the north, My An Beach is less busy. If walk southwards, close to resorts, visitors can have more privacy where no crowds are seen for most hours of the day.
Our Lady Star of the Sea (Duc Me Sao Bien)
Nested in a pine garden by the beach, the statue of Our Lady Star of the Sea is one of the holiest sites for local Catholics in Da Nang. A large complex of church was constructed behind it in history. On Sunday, visitors can go inside and have a look.
