What to Expect in Kon Klor Suspension Bridge?
Spanning Dak Bla River, the largest river in Kon Tum, Kon Klor Suspension Bridge is named after Kon Klor Village. Its name means ‘village of cotton trees’ because there are many cotton trees living in the area (scientific name: Ceiba pentandra).
Construction of Kon Klor Suspension Bridge started on 3nd February 1993, and finished on 1st May 1994. It connects the city of Kon Tum and ethnic villages on the side of Dak Bla River. Before its existence, people had to use a ferry boat to go cross the river. At the moment, the bridge is 292 meters long and 4,5 meters wide, making it the largest suspension bridge in the region.

How to Get to Kon Klor Suspension Bridge
Kon Klor Suspension Bridge is on Bac Kan Street, Thang Loi ward, Kon Tum city, Kon Tum province, Vietnam (now Kon Tum ward, Quang Ngai province). It’s around 3 kilometers from the city center, and nearly 60 kilometers from Mang Den.
From Kon Tum city, visitors can walk, take a taxi/car, or ride the motorbike to reach Kon Klor Suspension Bridge.
