The Champa Station is the highest cable car station in Ba Na Hills, a well-known theme park in Da Nang city, Vietnam. It’s opened on 30th April 2021 (to commemorate the 46th anniversary of Vietnam’s Unification Day). It’s named after an ancient kingdom which existed along the central coast of present-day Vietnam from the 2nd to the 19th centuries. The kingdom’s owners are Cham people who followed Hinduism. For that reason, the station is decorated by unique Cham art such as Apsara (fairy dancers), elephants, ring of female breasts, Cham towers,… It’s definitely different from any other cable car stations. If come to Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture or My Son Sanctuary (UNESCO world heritage site), visitors will see these elements.
Champa Station reminds visitors about history of Da Nang Vietnam as the land of Cham people.
This station is the lower station of the 7th cable car line in Ba Na Hills (5,864 meters long). From here, cable cars bring passengers to the Taiga Station within the French Village (that are made by steels and glasses). This line absolutely is the longest one in the whole park.

Tips to Visit Champa Cable Car Station
– In the dry season, from February to the end of August, visitors should bring sun cream, hat/cap/umbrella, sun glasses, and bottles of water to drink.
– In the rainy season, from September to January, visitors should bring rain poncho/jacket or umbrella, sandals or waterproof shoes. Don’t forget to check the weather forecast usually when traveling during this period.

How to Get to Champa Cable Car Station
The Champa Station is one of cable car stations in Ba Na Hills, Hoa Ninh commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang Vietnam. This is the highest/furthest cable car station in the park.
From Da Nang or Hoi An, visitors can take a car/minivan/bus or ride the motorbike. If going by car, the drive is 40-60 mins from Da Nang city center and over 1 hour from Hoi An. To save a bit, riding a motorbike is a good option.
From Ba Na Hills entrance, visitors need to go through the Time Gate, and then walk into the Big Gate behind it. After that, take the escalator to the left to go up, turn left and go through the Memory Garden, and turn left, go along the covered walkway with paintings about Hoi An. Near the Hoi An Station, take the escalator to go upstairs and then keep going uphill until seeing Toc Tien Waterfall Station. Next, keep walking further to see the ticket checking point of Champa Station.
