The best time to visit Tam Thanh Beach in the year is the dry season, from February to the end of August. In this period, the weather is beautiful, with lots of sun and no rain. For that reason, it’s a perfect time to sightsee, sunbathe, go swimming, take pictures, and play water sports.
The worst time of the year to visit Tam Thanh Beach is the rainy season, from September to January. The weather in these months is mostly rainy and cloudy, so it’s not really great to head over to the beach. Between October and December/January, typhoons may hit the area, causing very strong winds and waves as well as heavy rains and floods.

How to Visit Tam Thanh Beach in Tam Ky Vietnam
Tam Thanh Beach is the most beautiful beach in Tam Ky city. For that reason, it’s a good place to sightsee and take pictures. This beach has a 2-kilometers-long stretch of white fine sand, with coconut trees or sea pine forests in the back and the crystal clear ocean in the front. There are many boats (long tail boats, basket boats,…) lying on it because it’s close to fishing villages.
Near seaside resorts and hotels, visitors can find sun loungers to lie down, relax and enjoy cool breeze blowing from the sea and a such beautiful view. It’s free for hotel guests, and other people may need to pay to hire or get something from on-site restaurant/bar.
In addition, Tam Thanh Beach is a good beach to go swimming. The water here is clear, clean and not deep. In low tides, visitors can walk for about 500 meters from the shoreline. The waves are small in many months of the year. Therefore, this beach is a good choice for both adults and children. Plus, it’s also wide and long, providing lots of spaces for kids to play around. Swimsuits, swimwear, floats, sun glasses,…are sold by local shops and vendors with a relatively affordable price.
In the summertime, at the square by Tam Thanh Beach, Tam Ky Beach Festival is held. How to Get to Tam Thanh Beach in Tam Ky
Tam Thanh Beach is located in Tam Thanh commune, Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province, Vietnam.
From Tam Ky city center, the distance to Tam Thanh Beach is about 10 kilometers. Visitors can take a taxi, private car/van/bus, or ride the motorbike to go to this place. If go by car, the drive is 10-15 minutes long (tell your taxi driver to wait for a while to reach other attractions or back to the city because there’re no taxis there). If go by motorbike, find the quickest way to Nguyen Tat Thanh Road, Duy Tan Road or Thanh Hoa Road, and then go towards the sea. Tam Thanh Beach lies in the end of DT614 Road.
From Da Nang or Hoi An, the distance to Tam Thanh Beach is from 45 to 80 kilometers. Visitors can take a taxi, private car/van/bus, or ride the motorbike to go to this place. If go by car, the drive is 1-1,5 hours long. If go by motorbike, find the quickest way to the coastal road Vo Nguyen Giap and then go southwards. After riding cross Cua Dai Bridge (in Hoi An), keep going straight until seeing the crossroad of Vo Chi Cong Road and Duy Tan Road (location on Google maps: 15°35’34.9″N 108°31’53.8″E). Turn left and then follow DT614 Road. The beach lies in the end of this road.
If you go from Da Nang or Hoi An, make sure that you know Tam Thanh Mural Village to visit before going to Tam Thanh Beach.
