Built in 1973 across the upper reaches of the Ben Hai River, the Ben Tat Suspension Bridge served as a vital logistic node on the strategic eastern branch of the Ho Chi Minh Trail during the Vietnam War. Located in Gio Linh District, Quang Tri Province, the historic bridge sits immediately adjacent to the National Truong Son Martyrs’ Cemetery. Though the original structure was swept away by floods in 2005, it has since been faithfully restored as a national historical relic honoring wartime supply efforts.
