Long Hung Church Vietnam

Quang Tri Citadel is a historic fortress originally built in the early 19th century under the Nguyen Dynasty and later reinforced by the French. It is globally renowned as the site of the fierce 81-day battle in 1972 between North Vietnamese forces and the South Vietnamese army supported by heavy U.S. bombing. Today, the heavily scarred yet partially reconstructed citadel serves as a solemn national memorial honoring the thousands of soldiers who perished there.
