What to Expect in Lang Co Market?
Nestled between the majestic Truong Son mountains and the tranquil waters of the Lap An Lagoon, Lang Co Market (Cho Lang Co) serves as the vibrant cultural and commercial heartbeat of Lang Co town. Located right along the historic National Highway 1A, this traditional market offers an authentic glimpse into the daily lives of local coastal residents.
Visiting the market in the early morning is an experience like no other. Stalls overflow with an incredible bounty of fresh seafood straight from the nearby lagoon and sea, including crabs, shrimp, squid, and various local fish species. Alongside the seafood, vendors offer colorful tropical fruits, regional specialties, and handmade household goods.
Beyond being a bustling hub for trade, Lang Co Market is a culinary destination for food lovers. Visitors can pull up a plastic stool at one of the open-air food stalls to savor steaming bowls of local rice noodle soups, savory pancakes (bánh xèo), and fresh, flavorful local delicacies at remarkably affordable prices. It is a must-visit spot to connect with the warm local community and experience the authentic rhythm of central Vietnam’s coast.

How to Get to Lang Co Market
The new Lang Co Market is located on Nguyen Van Road, a big modern road runs along the eastern waterside of Lap An Lagoon, just 250m from the Highway 1A. The old/former market is on An Cu Dong Road (still on Google maps, so check the right one carefully).
From anywhere in Lang Co Town, visitors just need to find Nguyen Van Road and then go southwards to see the new Lang Co Market.
If go from Da Nang/Hoi An to Hue and vice versa, it’s very convenient to stop at Lang Co Market for visiting because this place is close to popular coffee and photo spots.
If you ride the motorbike over Hai Van Pass, at the north end of the pass road (16°13’42.9″N 108°04’59.3″E on Google maps), turn left and go straight. Lang Co Market is on the right hand side, near a crossroad and a square.
