What is Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills?
Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills is a hotel in Sun World Ba Na Hills, Da Nang Vietnam. Particularly, it’s located in the French Village, at an elevation of over 1,400 meters (on the top of Nui Chua mountain).
In short, to get to Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills, visitors need to have a transport to Ba Na Hills and then ride the cable car to the French Village within it.
Getting from Da Nang Airport to Mercure Bana Hills
The nearest airport to Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills is the Da Nang International Airport (DAD) in the city of Da Nang. The distance is some 20 kilometers. The best way from this airport to Mercure Bana Hills is taking a private car and the drive will be around 45 minutes.
In Vietnam, visitors can look for a direct flight to Da Nang from Hanoi (capital), Ho Chi Minh city, Can Tho, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Buon Ma Thuot, Phu Quoc, Hai Phong, Van Don (Quang Ninh). In Da Nang Airport, no matter Domestic or International terminals, local drivers can see you at the arrival gate (after baggage claim, immigration,…) and then show the direction to the parking lot (distance will be short).
After arriving at Ba Na Hills, it’s needed to go to Thac Toc Tien (Toc Tien Waterfall) Station to see the check-in lounge and take the direct cable car to Mercure Bana Hills in the French Village. If go by car from the airport, visitors can be dropped off right in this station (instead of walking). From the parking lot, go upstairs and then find the check in lounge (within a short walk). If have many luggage pieces, bellmen will help to carry them.
Remember that the cable car in Ba Na Hills is available between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm. Therefore, make sure that you book a flight time properly if want to stay overnight in Mercure Bana Hills.
Check in time will be 2:00 pm, so if come earlier, just take the cable car to go up the mountain, leave the luggages in reception of the main building and then be free to explore the park. At 2:00 pm or later, go back and let your bellman show you the direction to the room.
Hotel guests won’t need to queue at the cable car station. Therefore, just come anytime during the operation hours.
The cable car from Toc Tien Station is 5,771 meters long, making it one of the longest cable cars all over the world. A ride to the French Village is about 20-30 minutes long. When the cable car ends (at L’Indochine Station), please leave it and check personal belongings carefully. After that, take the escalator to go upstairs to leave the station. Outside, will immediately see the French Village where Mercure Bana Hills is located. Following your bellman to walk to the room.
Occasionally, due to maintenance reasons, the cable car at Thac Toc Tien Station will be closed. On that day, visitors still need to come here for check in and then walk to nearby Champa Station to take the cable car to the French Village. This cable car ride is 5,864 meters long (taking about 20-30 minutes to complete). Getting from Mercure Bana Hills to Da Nang Airport
To get back to the Da Nang Airport from Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills, visitors need to book a private car in advance.
If book a transfer by local companies in advance, the driver can go directly to Thac Toc Tien Station to pick up. Please remember to share your personal information (like full name, room number, nationality).

The cable car ride down the mountain is around 20-30 minutes. After landing, walk downstairs to the parking lot to see the driver. Occasionally, due to maintenance reasons, the cable car at L’Indochine Station will be closed. On that day, visitors still need to go to Taiga Station. The distance from Mercure Bana Hills to this station is not long. Because you are hotel guests, therefore do not have to queue here. The cable car ride down the mountain is around 20-30 minutes. After landing, go downhill by escalators, pass by the check-in lounge in Thac Toc Tien Station and then walk downstairs to the parking lot to see the driver.
In Da Nang Airport, local drivers will drop off in either Domestic or International terminals. The airport entrance fee is often included in the price of private transfer from Mercure Bana Hills.
