Hoi An Ancient Town is an exceptionally well-preserved South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. In 1999, it’s honored to be a world heritage site. – Japanese Covered Bridge: the symbol of Hoi An. This wooden building was constructed in the 17th century by Japanese people. Today, it’s also called ‘Pagoda bridge’ because it has a small temple where the locals worship a Taoist god. See more details

– Tan Ky Old House: the most typical old wooden house in Hoi An. Its main entrance is on a main street and its back is by the river (or quay). The family who owns it, sold the silk and cinnamon in the past and the wealth of the family is reflected by premium furniture, collections of antiquities and decorative items. – Fujian Assembly Hall: see the largest and the most richly-decorated Chinese temple in Hoi An. It boasts the glorious architecture and sophisticated wooden carvings that are made by the most skillful local craftmen. Here, the community has been worshipping Thien Hau Goddess and organized festivals to commemorate and honor her during the year. See more details

– Hoi An Central Market: Visit the oldest and biggest market in Hoi An. Here, people sell a huge variety of local products, including fresh vegetables, tropical fruits, fishes, seafood, poultries, spices, noodles, household items, lanterns,… Walk through the food hall where local women make and sell different local food and food specialties. In the front of the market, there is a ancient well that is still in use and covered by a tile pavilion. See more details
