To enter the Hoi An Ancient Town (a Unesco world heritage site) and historical sites within it, every visitor needs to buy a ticket costing 120,000 VND (2025). Our guide will take you to an office to buy tickets by your own expense. See all information about ‘Hoi An Old Town ticket’

Hoi An Old Town Walking Tour with Local Guide
Hoi An Ancient Town is an exceptionally well-preserved South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. In 1999, it’s honored to be a world heritage site. – Japanese Covered Bridge: the symbol of Hoi An. This wooden building was constructed in the 17th century by Japanese people. Today, it’s also called ‘Pagoda bridge’ because it has a small temple where the locals worship a Taoist god. See more details
– Tan Ky Old House: the most typical old wooden house in Hoi An. Its main entrance is on a main street and its back is by the river (or quay). The family who owns it, sold the silk and cinnamon in the past and the wealth of the family is reflected by premium furniture, collections of antiquities and decorative items. – Hoi An Traditional Art Performance House: watch the show in which traditional art of singing, dancing, opera, musical instruments, bingo game are performed by local artists. See more details
– Fujian Assembly Hall: see the largest and the most richly-decorated Chinese temple in Hoi An. It boasts the glorious architecture and sophisticated wooden carvings that are made by the most skillful local craftmen. – Hoi An Central Market: Visit the oldest and biggest market in Hoi An. Here, people sell a huge variety of local products, including fresh vegetables, tropical fruits, fishes, seafood, poultries, spices, noodles, household items, lanterns,… Walk through the food hall where local women make and sell different local food and food specialties. In the front of the market, there is a ancient well that is still in use and covered by a tile pavilion. See more details
– Traditional handicrafts workshop: meet a local woman wearing traditional ao dai dress and listen to her introduction about Hoi An’s local handicrafts (silk making, lantern making, garment making, silk painting making, etc)

Tour ends & payment
When the tour ends, you will pay us the fee for private tour guide. It’s 500,000 VND (20 USD) for solo traveler, 700,000 VND (28 USD) for group of 2 to 4 people, 1,000,000 VND (40 USD) for group of 5 to 8 people, and 1,300,000 VND for group of 9 to 15 people.
You will the fee by cash (VND or USD). Please give it directly to your guide.
A tip is recommended for groups and it depends on your level of enjoyment.

– Our driver & guide will pick you at your hotel in Da Nang city center (including Hai Chau District, Son Tra District except Nai Hien Dong ward & Tho Quang ward, Ngu Hanh Son District except Hoa Hai ward & Hoa Quy ward) or Hoi An city center.
– In the end of the tour, our driver & guide will drop you off at your hotel.
– Pickup surcharge is required to visitors staying NOT in Da Nang city center or Hoi An city center.
– All surcharges are payable in cash directly to your tour guide.
– No pick up & drop off service in Tan Hiep area of Hoi An (Cham Island).


– Children above 1,4 meters height OR 10 years old will be charged same to adults.
– Children from 1 to 1,4 meters height OR from 5 to 10 years old, will have a discount.
– Children under 5 years old OR 1 meter height, will be free of charge.
– On your day of travel, if your kid is 1,4 meters and above (and you booked a children ticket previously), please pay the surcharge of 350,000 VND in cash.

– Any cancellation before 7 days of departure date will be free of charge.
– Any cancellation before 6 days of departure date will be charged 30% selling price.
– Any cancellation before 5 – 4 days of departure date will be charged 50% selling price.
– Any cancellation before 3 – 2 days of departure date will be charged 75% selling price.
– Any cancellation within 24 hours or no-show: non-refundable.

What to bring/wear
Visitors should wear comfortable walking shoes, hat/cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, rain poncho/jacket (from October to January), cash.
To visit the temples, please wear respectively. In other words, make sure that the pants cover the upper knees and the shirt covers the navel, shoulders, armpits.
