Cyclo ride across Hoi An Ancient Town
The xích lô (cyclo) is a traditional Vietnamese three-wheeled bicycle taxi where the passenger sits in a covered seat in the front while the driver pedals from the rear.
A cyclo ride offers a classic, leisurely, and unique way to explore the charm of Hoi An’s UNESCO-listed Ancient Town, providing an unobstructed, front-row view of the architecture and daily life. Seated comfortably in the front while the vehicle is pedaled slowly through the narrow, lantern-lit streets, this traditional three-wheeled experience immerses visitors in the town’s nostalgic, timeless atmosphere. It’s a perfect, relaxing activity for sightseeing, taking photos, and engaging with the historic streets at a gentle, personal pace. See more details
Sightseeing historical landmarks
Hoi An Ancient Town is an exceptionally well-preserved South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. In 1999, it’s honored to be a world heritage site. This town is famous for pretty narrow streets with yellow-wall houses, colorful lanterns and many tailor shops. It’s also one of the most photographed places in Vietnam. See more details
In Hoi An, you will see these places:
– Japanese Covered Bridge: the symbol of Hoi An. This wooden building was constructed in the 17th century by Japanese people. Today, it’s also called ‘Pagoda bridge’ because it has a small temple where the locals worship a Taoist god. See more details
– Tan Ky Old House: the most typical old wooden house in Hoi An. Its main entrance is on a main street and its back is by the river (or quay). The family who owns it, sold the silk and cinnamon in the past and the wealth of the family is reflected by premium furniture, collections of antiquities and decorative items. In the last hall, visitors can see the water levels of the floods by year. See more details
– Fujian Assembly Hall: the largest and most beautifully decorated Chinese assembly hall in Hoi An, originally built by Fujianese merchants as a communal meeting space and later converted into a temple dedicated to Thien Hau, the Goddess of the Sea. See more details
– Museum of Folklore: housed in one of the largest ancient merchant houses in the Ancient Town and showcases nearly 500 artifacts related to the traditional life, arts, and customs of the local people in Hoi An. See more details
