Walk on Golden Hands Bridge

Visiting the Golden Hands Bridge is definitely one of the best things to do in Ba Na Hills. It’s near the Marseille cable car station, and a part of Le Jardin D’amour Garden. It opened to the public in April 2018.

Golden Hands Bridge is famous for its extremely creative and inspirational architectural design. This 150-meters-long walking bridge has golden handrails which look wonderful in the sun and a pair of stone-like, mossy and massive hands. These hands symbolize God’s hands giving a precious gift to visitors coming from all over the world.

Because of being a world-famous or an once-of-lifetime attraction, it’s busy at Golden Hands Bridge. To avoid the crowds, visitors should get there in the early morning or late afternoon or low tourist season. See more information & details

Ride Word-Record Cable Cars

Visitors have to use the cable car to reach Ba Na Hills which lies on the top of Nui Chua Mountain. The first cable car here was inaugurated in 2009, and was the longest one worldwide at that time (5 km). Nowadays, there are 4 cable cars in operation, including one going directly to Golden Hands Bridge. A ride often lasts 15-20 mins.

The experience in Ba Na Hills cable cars is really stunning and kind of surprising. From the cars (glass on four sides), passengers will see Ba Na Nui Chua Nature Reserve with white-water falls, whispering streams, dense tropical forests, craggy outcrops, wild animals, and flying clouds/fog as well as an incredibly beautiful panoramic view to below areas. Try Different Food at Ba Na Hills

If interested in Vietnamese local cuisine or Asian food, Ba Na Hills has many restaurants to choose from, including both buffet and a la carte styles. Here, visitors can find one Indian buffet restaurant (Bharata), one Japanese buffet restaurant (Little Tokyo), and some international buffet restaurants (such as Beer Plaza, Four Seasons, Arapang, etc) with food options up to 90. In the international buffet, it’s possible to see appetizers, main course dishes, and desserts. Classic Vietnamese food, such as pho noodle soup, banh xeo crispy pancake, banh cuon fresh rice paper rolls, banh tet sticky rice cake, chicken rice, crab noodles, che sweet soup,… are served. Price of buffet lunch often is 350,000 VND/adult and for dinner, it’s 250,000 VND/adult.

In Ba Na Hills, visitors can try other styles too, including Korean food, Chinese food, Italian food, French food, Thai food, Russian food,…

Along main walking paths, grilled meat skewers will be seen, including beef, ostrich, crocodile, chicken, etc that is served with kimchi and chilli sauce or ketchup. In the same spot, imported sausages may be sold. In the French Village, there is a beer garden with outdoor seating. There, drinkers can enjoy trying western food, craft beer, listening to live music or dancing with international artists. It’s atmospheric.

Kool Rides & Fun Games in Fantasy Park

The Fantasy Park is the amusement park of Sun World Ba Na Hills, and is the largest indoor theme park in Vietnam. Here, visitors can have fun and keep entertained with up to 90 types of entertainment. Nearly all of them are free of charge. There are exciting arcade games (requiring extra fee), kool rides and rolls, rock climbing (requiring extra fee), Jurassic park, 3D-4D-5D movies, bumper cars, kid playgrounds, minishow and performances, shops, and much more. Additionally, many people like riding on the alpine coasters of this park too. For that reason, the queue is often seen. Enthralling Alpine Coasters at Ba Na Hills

One of tourist’s favourite things to do in Ba Na Hills is riding on alpine coasters at the Fantasy Park. There are 3 choices now. No matter what, visitors need to pay to participate (in 2024, it’s 70,000 VND/person/time) and two people will share a car if they want to go together. The one sitting behind will use a handbrake lever to control the speed on the way down and the way up is automatically driven. The one sitting in the front can use the phone for taking pictures. However, while visitors are on the track, cameras randomly catch some good moments and if want to print the best photo, please tell the staff after finishing the ride. See more information & details

Roam around French Village – Little Europe

Both daytime and nighttime, Ba Na Hills French Village is worth visiting. During the day, visitors can marvel at huge, antique French-style chateaux and buildings, such as Saint Denis Church, Helios Waterfall, Ba Na Hills Brewery, Mercure Hotel, Morin Station, Du Dome Square, quarters, Medieval Fair,… as well as watch outdoor live performances/shows from European/American artists (available many times a day). There’re lots of photo opportunities for sure. At the Beer Plaza, will join a beer festival with good-quality fresh beer from the tap, delicious barbecues (beef, sausage,…), live music and entertaining activities/entertainments. Nearby Helios Waterfall and carnivals are other fun things to do.

At night, the French Village becomes romantic thanks to fairy lights and the fog. It’s also cooler (and even cold), so a light jacket is needed. Visit Ba Na Hills by Night

Ba Na Hills is cool, beautiful at night (the same as a European city), especially the French Village. This village becomes so lightful and dreamy with lights and fog as well as atmospheric with outdoor social activities (drinking beers, singing,…). Wandering around it and dine out at the restaurant are recommended to couples and families. Somehow, an evening visit/experience is one of the romantic things to do in Ba Na Hills.

Le Jardin d’Amour Flower Garden

Le Jardin d’Amour Flower Garden is a group of nine gardens lying between the Golden Hands Bridge and Linh Ung Pagoda. The highest garden is atop a hill, called ‘Sacred Garden’ and it has the least visitors. Near Debay Wine Cellar, at the foot of that hill, there is a series of gardens set on different terraces, from Grape Garden, Love Garden, Mythology Garden, Memory Garden, Thought Garden, Mystery Garden, Eden Garden, to Suoi Mo Garden.

Daily, visitors can see and take pictures with flowers varying in color as well as watch performances from foreign singers, dancers, and artists (and have a photo with them after the shows finish). During the year, this area becomes the host for Ba Na Hills Flower Festival in which every corner is filled with fresh, colorful flowers. In many years, millions of tulip are brought from abroad to decorate it, making it so beautiful and attractive. The best time to visit Le Jardin D’amour garden is in the early morning (by 9 AM) or 3 PM onwards. From 9 AM to 12 PM, it’s very crowded. See more information & details

Discover 100-Years-Old Debay Wine Cellar

Debay Ancient Wine Cellar was built in 1923 by the French inside a small hill inside Le Jardin D’amour Gardens, to preserve bottles of wine. It’s about 100-meters long, with a bar, a dining room, a dancing floor and holes for private collections. In the end of the tunnel, the bar serves a variety of wine choices produced in Vietnam and some countries in the world. If interested in history or wine, this place is definitely one of the best things to see and do in Ba Na Hills. In 2024, it’s needed to pay a fee to enter Debay Wine Cellar and taste wine. Visit Golden Bridge in Sunrise/Early Morning

In the early morning, there are no people or crowds in the Golden Hands Bridge. By that, early visitors can stroll freely along it, enjoy sightseeing and take pictures.

To get to the Golden Bridge before crowds come, visitors can stay in Ba Na Hills’s hotel and then take the earliest cable car from Louvre Station. At the present, the only hotel choice is Mercure Hotel within the French Village. Front desk of this hotel is in Thac Toc Tien Station.

Funiculars at Ba Na Hills

Ba Na Hills is home to two funiculars now. The oldest one, Ba Na Hills Funicular 1 was opened in 2014, becoming the first in Vietnam. It can transfer up to 80 passengers from a cable car station to Le Jardin d’Amour Flower Garden, Golden Hands Bridge and Linh Ung Pagoda. The second one is younger but longer. It runs between the Lunar Castle and Solar Castle everyday, along the edge of the tropical forest. Photograph at Eclipse Plaza

Near Louvre Cable Car Station, the Eclipse Plaza lies between the kingdoms of sun and moon. It’s well known for a tall glass tower portraying a Vietnamese conical hat, with impressive colonnades on the side (each has beautiful ceiling paintings). Visitors easily realized that this complex looks like the glass pyramid at the Louvre Museum in Paris city and St Peter Square in Vatican city. Visit Linh Ung Ba Na Pagoda

Linh Ung Pagoda in Ba Na Hills was constructed from 1999 to 2004, on the top of the hill below the Le Jardin d’Amour flower gardens. It has a hall to worship different Buddhas and a triple gate where many visitors like to take pictures. Big Buddha Statue in Ba Na Hills

Standing on the hilltop, this Shakyamuni Buddha Statue is 27 meters tall, making it one of the biggest Buddha statues in the area. It’s part of Linh Ung Pagoda that was constructed from 1999 to 2004. Climb Up to King Peak – Top of Ba Na Hills

Nui Chua Summit (or King Peak) is the highest point in Sun World Ba Na Hills and also Da Nang. Its elevation is 1,487 meters. There is a temple sitting atop this peak, called ‘Linh Chua Linh Tu Temple’. Here, the Goddess of Mountain has worshiped since 1999. Visitors have to climb many stairs from the French Village to Nui Chua Summit (go past the Tru Vu Teahouse and Linh Phong Stupa). If going up to the Bell Pavillion, it’s possible to catch very cool breeze coming from the national park and catch a bird’s eye view of the whole complex below. Another temple built in Nui Chua summit is Chua Bac or Linh Phong Thien Tu Pagoda. It’s used to worship Lord Buddha.  Watch Sunset at Golden Hands Bridge

Watching the sunset at the Golden Hands Bridge is one of the best things to do in Ba Na Hills. Why? Here are reasons visitors need to know:

– The Golden Hands Bridge becomes golden, so glorious in the sunset light. The sky is also orange/reddy, making a wonderful background for amazing pictures (must visit on a sunny day to see a clear sky).

– The Golden Hands Bridge is nearly empty in the sunset/before sunset. There, it’s perfect to photograph or make videos or enjoy the serenity of the place. No other better pictures than the ones without many people.

– The temperature is just cool (even cold sometimes).

Watch Sunrise at Ba Na Hills

Sunrise or early morning is one of the best times to visit Ba Na Hills. At this time, the scenery is absolutely fascinating when visitors can see the sun rising up steadily from the horizon line, orange/reddish reflection on the sea and everything in the below areas. Ba Na Hills is just like a perfect deck to view the amazing nature in the beginning of the day. No crowds or noise is a plus point.

To see the sunrise at Ba Na Hills, visitors need to book a hotel (because the opening hour of Ba Na Hills is 8 AM). The only hotel available now is Mercure Danang French Village Ba Na Hills hotel. There are more accommodation options in the future. Visitors can go to these spots to watch the sunrise: Nui Chua Summit, Lunar/Moon Castle, Linh Phong Thien Tu Pagoda, Rose Garden near Morin Station.

From the hotel, visitors need to come to Louvre station and then ride the cable car for 5 mins. After landing, go downstairs and then turn left to see Golden Hands Bridge. Of course, no crowds are here yet, giving such an incredible time to enjoy the bridge and take pictures.

Meet Famous Figures at Ba Na Hills Wax Museum

Opened in July 2013, the Wax Museum at Ba Na Hills is the first one of its kind in Vietnam and the only one in the area. Nowadays, it has a collection of nearly 100 life-size statues of famous people all over the world. There are singers, actors and actresses, dancers, pop stars, sport players, politicians, influencers, and more. To see up close idols, visitors need to go to the Fantasy Park Level B1 and buy a ticket. See more information & details

Spend a Night in Ba Na Hills

In the 20th century, Ba Na Hills was a mountain resort used by French people to escape the heat and relax, thanks to its high elevation. After 1945, it’s abandoned. Since 2009, this place has served as a complex of amusement park and hospitality. If spending the nights here, visitors will enjoy an extremely fresh and cool air, comfortable temperature, professional services and exclusive experiences (such as watching the sunrise at Golden Bridge). At night, the hotel’s surroundings have many dining options as well as activities. The view to the areas below is also very stunning when the city is lit by thousands of lamps. Front desk of Ba Na Hills hotel is in Thac Toc Tien Station. Visitors need to go upstairs from the main entrance or use the transfer by electric buggy car. After check in, will take the cable car to the French Village to see the room.

Discover Lunar Castle (‘Hogwarts Castle’)

The Lunar Castle is the largest castle in Ba Na Hills. From Louvre Station or French Village, it’s behind the Eclipse Square or at the end of the funicular ride from the French Village. During the day, visitors can take pictures with it as a background or around its beautiful gardens, go to its indoor theatres to watch cinematic movies and its outdoor squares (such as Moon Square) to witness grand art shows/performances. Visit Ba Na Hills Brew House

Next to the Helios Waterfall, Ba Na Hills Brewery is constructed to introduce visitors from all over the world, the production of different German craft beers. At its lowest levels, equipment and the process to make them are shown, allowing anybody to see/photograph. If lucky, brewmasters here will tell interesting stories about history, ingredients and steps they have done. At the highest levels, craft beers right from this brew house and a variety of food options are served, in a space with inspiration of Champa and European arts. Helios Waterfall is one of the greatest monuments in Ba Na Hills. This building is an inspiration of the one in Peterhof Palace in St Peterburg, Russia. Its yellow bronze god statues and its fountains are made by skillful Italian artists. No matter daytime or nighttime, it’s grand, fascinating and perfect for taking pictures. Giant Atlas Statue

The giant Atlas Statue is in the front of the Lunar Castle, below a pinky castle and behind the Eclipse Square. It portrays a muscle man carrying the mountain on his back (in Greek mythology, he holds up the heaven or sky). The best spots to take photos with him are from the pathways in the garden by Lunar Castle or the staircase down the car road.
