When Do You Bring Passport for Ba Na Hills?
Generally, foreign visitors do not have to bring passport to enter Ba Na Hills (and any other personal documents).
However, visitors need to bring passport to Ba Na Hills in these situations:
Situation 1: when want to purchase the senior ticket, for real age verification. It’s cheaper than adult ticket, and will be applicable only for people older than 70 (born in 1956 or earlier), no matter nationality. For that reason, the original passport have to be presented at any ticket checkpoint. No other documents, including passport photo or digital passport, can be replaceable. In 2026, senior ticket price is 800.000 VND and 1.150.000 VND with lunch buffet. It’s 1.000.000 VND if enter the park after 3:00 PM.
Situation 2: check in at Mercure Bana Hills hotel. This hotel lies within the Ba Na Hills complex. Any hotels require it.
Situation 3: when Da Nang citizens don’t have physical ID card (loosing it just before visiting Ba Na Hills for example), they need to bring their passport or driver license to receive the discount. In 2026, the local rate now is 650.000 VND per adult and kid above 139cm, and 550.000 VND per kid from 100 to 139cm. With lunch, it’s 1.000.000 VND and 750.000 VND respectively.
Parents do not have to bring passport for kids because the ticket price is based on the height. If kid is 1.4m and above, the cost is same with an adult (1.000.000 VND). If kid from 100 to 139cm, there is a discount and the rate is 800.000 VND.
On the other side, visitors do not have to show passport if want to buy alcohol drinks (this is controled by parents themselves). In Vietnam, shops can not sell a beer for visitors under 18. For example, at Ba Na Brew House, adult visitors receive free beer tastings, but teenagers are not accepted.
Besides the entrance ticket, visitors do not have to present passport to buy other tickets inside Ba Na Hills too (like alpine coaster, wine cellar,….).
Passport is a very important thing when travel to Vietnam. Please keep it carefully before and after ticket checking at Ba Na Hills. Please contact customer service or lost and found in this park, when didn’t find it.
If forget bringing passport, senior visitors need to buy an adult ticket, to pass through the ticket checking. When got a senior ticket already, Ba Na Hills will require paying the difference between the senior ticket and the adult ticket (particularly 200.000 VND if have no lunch and 150.000 VND if have lunch). This fee can be paid by cash or card.
In the future, visitors may have to bring passport to enter the casino at Ba Na Hills. This is a must do when foreigners want to play gamble in Vietnam.
