Is It Better to Visit Ba Na Hills Day or Night?
Ba Na Hills brings a different experience between day and night. If possible, we still recommend discovering the park in both times, instead of one only. If have to choose day or night, see our thoughts as following below.
Firstly, check how much time you have for Ba Na Hills. If just have a 1/2 day (a few hours), daytime is better than nighttime because there are more attractions opened and activities available during the day. If want to enjoy the nightlife, we suggest going to the mountain in late afternoon. On the other side, if have a full day, go anytime before 2 PM to have time enough to explore. Those who are not interested in amusement rides, games, parties,…, a half day tour to Ba Na Hills is a good choice (if book a full day tour, anyway you will need to see them to fill the itinerary).
About the weather, visiting Ba Na Hills in the daytime is better than nighttime if travel to Da Nang between October and February (rainy season). This place is often rainy, foggy, and wet during the period. Therefore, visitors will have most chances to see no rain when it’ still bright, especially in the midday. After sunset, of course, the weather in the mountain will be cold and stormy, making the trip not great.
From March to September (the dry season), it’s cooler in nighttime than daytime at Ba Na Hills. To have time enough to see famous attractions (like Golden Hands Bridge) and/or do stunning activities (like roller coaster), we suggest going to the park in the late afternoon and then return to the city in the evening. A walk on the bridge in the sunset is definitely a special experience that not all tourists can have.
If want to see everything or check out all photo spots, visitors should go to Ba Na Hills in the daytime (as early as possible). Read the best itineraries for self guided visitors. Likewise, daytime is better than nighttime for families with kids because children have more choices to play during the day.
About the traveling cost, visiting Ba Na Hills at night is cheaper than daytime. In 2025, the entry ticket costs 950,000 VND (approximately 38 USD) per adult and children above 1,4 meters. It’s 1,250,000 VND (approximately 50 USD) if include lunch buffet. After 3/4 PM, it’s 1,000,000 VND (around 40 USD). Visiting Ba Na Hills at night will be a different experience to those who already came to the place in the past. Many years ago, this park was closed after sunset, and only hotel guests know how the park looks like when the darkness falls. We recommend buying ‘Ba Na Hills evening ticket’ .
