Where is Non Nuoc Beach Exactly Located?
Non Nuoc Beach is part of Da Nang Hoi An coastline that stretches from the foot of Son Tra Mountain to the estuary of Thu Bon River. It’s named after Non Nuoc, the village where it’s located. This name is also used to call a craft village (Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village) and a museum (Non Nuoc Ngu Hanh Son Stone Carving Memory Museum), a Buddhist temple (Non Nuoc Pagoda) today. It’s exactly the first name of the Marble Mountains (Five-elements Mountain). Therefore, Non Nuoc Beach can be referred to ‘Marble Mountain Beach’.
Currently, Non Nuoc Beach is referred to the beach in Khue My and Hoa Hai wards of Ngu Hanh Son district, Da Nang city. Its length is around 12 kilometers. At the point ‘Bai tam Non Nuoc’ (or Non Nuoc Beach) is pinned on the map, there is nothing except the beach itself.
Near crossroad of Tran Quoc Hoan Street and Truong Sa Street, visitors will see Son Thuy Beach. This beach is the public part of Non Nuoc Beach. During the year, everyone can visit it without a hotel booking and find beverage stalls, street foods, parking service, fresh water to take shower, vendors selling swimsuit,…Surrounded by resorts and hotels, it’s more peaceful and less crowded here than ‘tourist beaches’ towards the north like My Khe Beach, Phuoc My Beach, Man Thai Beach. We believe that this is the best swimming spot on Non Nuoc Beach for those who is not a hotel guest.
Down the south, near the crossroad of Nguyen Than Hien Street and Truong Sa Street, there is a walking path to access Non Nuoc Beach (next to Marriott Danang Resort). It’s paved by tiles and lined by coconut trees.
Near the crossroad of Vo Qui Huan Street and Truong Sa Street, there is another road to Non Nuoc Beach. The beach here is called ‘Tan Tra Beach’.
What is Non Nuoc Beach Like?
Non Nuoc Beach definitely is one of the most beautiful beaches in Da Nang. It has a wide and lengthy unspoiled stretch of soft sand which lies between crystal-clear water and lush coconut trees. In a sunny day, white sand, azure ocean, green vegetations, purple mountains and blue sky, all together bring a little paradise down to visitors.
From Non Nuoc Beach, during the summertime, visitors will enjoy extremely cool breeze blowing from the ocean and seeing a stunning natural landscape. At the left end, there is a 700-meters-high mountain with forests and a giant Lady Buddha statue (67 meters tall, one of Vietnam’s tallest Buddha statues). That is Son Tra Mountain or the Monkey Mountain. In the evening, it’s still possible to observe the Buddha. On the sea, there are islands of Cham Islands, a famous marine park and Unesco world biosphere reserve.

Things to Do in Non Nuoc Beach, Da Nang
Firstly, Non Nuoc Beach is one of the best beaches to go swimming in Da Nang area. The water here is clear, warm and not deep throughout the dry season. Plus, the wave is not big as well. During the day, hotels/resorts organize activities for their guests such as taichi class, yogy or meditation class… From February to end of August, do not forget walking early and watching sunrise. The experience is absolutely worth it.
About the water sports (surfing, standup paddle boarding, jet skiing,…), beachside resorts and hotels along Non Nuoc Beach often have options for their own guests. The distance from hotels and resorts in Non Nuoc Beach area to the Marble Mountains is relatively short. Here, visitors can climb many stairs to see ancient Buddhist temples (Linh Ung Pagoda, Tam Thai Pagoda,…), explore majestic caves (Huyen Khong Cave, Am Phu Cave,…) and discover peaks with a beautiful view (Heaven Gate, Thuong Thai Peak,…). A hike in this mountain is a worth-doing outdoor adventure besides your leisure time by the beach.
If live going snorkeling or diving, we recommend going to Cham Islands in Hoi An (about 30 mins to reach the harbor where boats to the archipelago depart). This is a marine park and Unesco world heritage site.
At the Nuoc Man Airport (near TIA Wellness Resort and Crowne Plaza Resort), visitors can look for a helicopter tour to observe Da Nang city from above. In the 15-minutes tour, will go along the coastline and the river to discover famous places such as the Marble Mountains, Lady Buddha, Son Tra Mountain (Monkey Mountain), My Khe Beach, Thuan Phuoc Bridge, Han River Bridge, Dragon Bridge, Tran Thi Ly Bridge,… In 30-minutes-long tour, Hoi An is the addition. Best Time to Visit Non Nuoc Beach in Da Nang
The best time to visit Non Nuoc Beach in the year is the dry season, from February to the end of August. In this period, the weather is beautiful, with lots of sun and no rain. For that reason, it’s a perfect time to sightsee, sunbathe, go swimming, take pictures, and play water sports. Water activities are only available and safe to join during the above months.
The worst time of the year to visit Non Nuoc Beach is the rainy season, from September to January. The weather in these months is mostly rainy and cloudy, making the sand wet and the water cold. Therefore, it’s not really a great time to visit the beach for the purpose of swimming or doing water sports. Sightseeing will be fine. Between October and December/January, typhoons may hit the area, causing very strong winds and waves as well as heavy rains and floods.

How to Get to Non Nuoc Beach in Da Nang
Non Nuoc Beach is in Khue My and Hoa Hai wards of Ngu Hanh Son district, Da Nang city. It’s on Vo Nguyen Giap Street or Truong Sa Street.
Resorts and hotels along Non Nuoc Beach may arrange a free shuttle bus from Da Nang International Airport to Non Nuoc Beach. Check this service before you fly to Da Nang. From Da Nang Train Station, it’s needed to book a private transfer.
From Son Tra district and other parts of Ngu Hanh Son district, visitors can take a taxi, private car or ride the motorbike. Just find the quickest way to the coastal road Vo Nguyen Giap Street and then go southwards.
From Hoi An, the distance to Non Nuoc Beach is some 30 kilometers. If going by car, the drive is about 35-40 minutes long.
