My name is Tam Le. I am the founder of hoiandaytrip.com – a leading travel website designed for international visitors—and HoiAn Day Trip Company, a local agency specializing in private tours and transfers across Central Vietnam.

Growing up in a coffee town in the Central Highlands, I developed a lifelong passion for travel and discovery. This early exposure allowed me to meet people from all over Vietnam, as well as various local ethnic minority communities.

My journey in Central Vietnam tourism officially began in 2013 when I enrolled in the Hue University School of Tourism & Hospitality, ultimately graduating with top honors in Tour Operation & Travel Services Management. Why Hue? Partly because my mother’s name is Huế, but mostly because my parents’ hometown is in neighboring Quảng Trị province, and I felt a strong calling to return to my roots and explore my heritage.

In the beginning, I didn’t know any English and struggled to communicate with foreigners. Determined to improve, I spent my free time practicing with tourists around the Hue Imperial Citadel, eventually working as a free tour guide for them.

After graduating, I moved to Da Nang and later to Ho Chi Minh City. Working as a tour leader for a New Zealand-based travel company, I guided 15-day cross-country tours throughout Vietnam. This invaluable experience deepened my knowledge of the country’s diverse destinations and travel operations.

When the COVID-19 pandemic brought tourism to a halt, I suddenly found myself with a lot of free time. However, the crisis couldn’t extinguish my passion for sharing the beauty of my homeland. After working in an online content role for a local enterprise—despite having no prior English writing or web design experience—I decided to build my very first blog.

By Christmas 2024, hoiandaytrip.com was officially launched. The site is dedicated to providing reliable travel guides and information for international visitors exploring Central Vietnam. To date, we have published over 1,000 articles, establishing the platform as a leading English-language travel guide for the region.

With over a decade of dedicated study and hands-on experience in the tourism industry, I finally founded my own agency, HoiAn Day Trip. We specialize in immersive day trips and authentic local experiences in and around Hoi An, Da Nang, and Hue—the three vibrant cultural hubs of Central Vietnam.

Having been fascinated by UNESCO World Heritage sites for over 15 years, I would be thrilled to meet and guide fellow travelers who share this passion when you visit Hoi An!
