My name is Tam Le. I’m the founder of hoiandaytrip.com – a leading travel website tailor-made for international visitors and HoiAn Day Trip Company – a local company specializing in private tours and transfers in central Vietnam. 

I have a strong passion for traveling and knowing about the world. Growing up in a coffee town on the Central highlands, I got the chance to meet Vietnamese people moving from different places and tribal communities in the area. 

I started my journey with central Vietnam tourism since I studied in Hue University School of Tourism & Hospitality in 2013, and then graduated with an excellent degree of “Tour operation & travel services management”. Why Hue? Simply because my mother’s name is Hue. On the other hand, the hometown of my parents is Quang Tri (neighbouring province of Hue), so I thought that I should return to the region and learn deeper about my origin. 

In the beginning, I had no English and could not communicate with foreigners. Therefore, after classes, I came to Hue’s Imperial City to practice talking with tourists and become a free tour guide for them. 

After the university graduation, I moved to Da Nang and then Ho Chi Minh City. At the biggest city of Vietnam, I worked for a New Zealand-based travel company as tour leader, and during every tour, I guided visitors across the country for 15 days. Thanks to this opportunity, I learnt so much and had experiences about different tourist destinations. 

During the Covid-19 pandemic, I lost my tour guide job as no tourists traveled to central Vietnam. Well then I had a lot of free time because of that. The disease could not stop my passion of sharing visitors about where I live and falling in love. After holding an online ‘content creator’ position at a local enterprise, without writing skills in English and knowledge about the website before, I created my first ever blog. 

By Christmas 2024, hoiandaytrip.com was officially launched. This site aims to be a reliable source of information and travel guide for international tourists who are going to visit central Vietnam. Up to date, there are +1000 posts published, making it a leading online English guide book. 

After 10-year studying and working in the tourism industry, I found my own company and it’s called “HoiAn Day Trip”. It focuses not only on day trips and local experiences in/from Hoi An, but also in/from Da Nang and Hue cities, two other popular tourist centers in the region. 

Having been an enthusiast about UNESCO world heritage sites for over 15 years, I’m very happy to meet up or guide visitors who have the same passion at Hoi An Vietnam.
