Pick up/Meet up

Pick up/Meet up time: 8:00 PM or 1:00 PM (local time)

Foldable lantern making class

Visit a local family with a long tradition of lantern making in town. Here, the artisan will guide you how to make 1 lantern by pre-made bamboo frame. You can choose the color and the pattern of the silk pieces used to cover it. When complete, he/she teaches how to ‘open’ and ‘close’ your lantern. And of course, you can take it and then bring home as souvenir.

Cycle to rice fields

Just a short distance from the bustling Ancient Town, the rice fields of Hoi An offer a tranquil, open-air escape where visitors can cycle or walk along winding paths and witness the quintessential Vietnamese rural landscape. Depending on the season, these expansive paddies transform from mirror-like flooded fields to vibrant green carpets and finally to a sea of shimmering gold just before harvest. See more details

Water buffalo ride

In Vietnam, water buffalo is primarily used for plowing and harrowing the wet rice paddies and transporting crops across the countryside.

In Hoi An, water buffalo ride is an authentic and gentle eco-tourism experience that allows visitors to sit on the back of a buffalo while touring the tranquil, waterlogged rice paddies and witnessing the traditional farming landscape.

If do not want to ride the water buffalo, you can see it and take pictures with it, or simply skip this activity.
