This tour shows you My Son Sanctuary in the late afternoon and sunset time when there is no crowds of tourists. The sanctuary is known as a complex of over 70 Hindu temples and towers that are constructed from the 4th to 14th centuries. Here, Cham people and emperors of the Champa kingdom worshipped Shiva god. Until today, building techniques they used are not fully discovered yet. In 1999, My Son was inscribed by Unesco to be a world heritage site. It’s called ‘Angkor Wat of Vietnam’ by many travelers.

My Son Sanctuary

Hidden away in the mountains, My Son Sanctuary is the holy land of Cham people who owned the Champa kingdom from the 2nd to 19th centuries. It has more than 70 buildings. The oldest one was constructed in the 4th century. Here, Shiva is the main deity. After the 14th century, My Son was abandoned and then invaded by forests. In the Vietnam War, it’s damaged by bombings from the USA air force. See more details

From the main entrance, visitors will take a transfer by buggy car to skip a 2-kilometers-long walk to the temple zone (still walk after this ride).

In My Son Sanctuary, visitors will see Temple B-C-D (the largest group), Temple A, Temple G, Temple E, Temple F and ruins along the trekking trail. See more details

Total walking distance is 2 kilometers.

Return & Drop off

Take the buggy car again to return to the main entrance and then walk to the parking lot. In the city, our guide & driver will drop you off in your hotel.
